I've been a Utd supporter since I was eight in 1966 and that Spurs performance was the worst I have ever seen. I'm not sure what ETH was trying to do buying strikers who were only modestly successful in other leagues. It seems common sense to buy players who have been successful scoring in the Premier League, instead of buying from overseas. The Premier League is a very different beast.

Ten Hag selected the players. He determines how the team play and he has spent over £600 million. Often buying mediocre players for large sums and getting rid of good young players. None of the players he has brought in would not get into any of the top four teams. United spent over fifty million for Mason Mount who was in the last year of his contract, and was not a first team player, because he was injury prone. The money that Chelsea got from United allowed them to but Cole Palmer for much less. Think about that. He should have gone at the end of last season in the same way that Van Gall was given his marching orders after winning the FA cup.
