I’m with you I’m a woman and around 23-24 I was like i rather use my free time building my passion and not gaming on someone else’s... One ups their status and shlt in games and ignore life. Their so addicted or use it as a cope that they forget that by default, in life, you will be a failure. Again, failure is default. Thus one has to put in alot of effort to not just move up but to also compete against the world. Games are structured to be addicting by giving obvious consistent and rewarding success in short periods to keep you playing- addicted. Achieve level 5 and get a sword, get level 8 and get some spells, get level 10 and evolve, at 12 you get fancy scope or equipment, at 15 you unlock a stage, or quest etc. Unlike in life where you literally have to grind years and suffer through spears of desperation because you're unbalancing or trying to balance the 3 pillars of life.

@@Claritism I’ve wasted lots of time on games myself but when youre working towards a purpose it’s never boring, it’s always tempting to spend a few hours vegging out on Xbox but everybody got choices

You could be a father who want to build a relationship with your son and can do that through something relatable like video games.

A person could be sitting still watching paint dry but so long as they think they arent wasting time then its not a waste. Nothing has a set value on it and because of that, we can apply any value we want to things. Nothing matters so everything matters.
