Those two absolutely MADE the show, especially Lafayette (my favorite). They’re barely in the books, which I had started reading long before the show came out. Lafayette dies at the end of the first book so at the end of season 1 and beginning of season 2 I thought I knew who the body in the car was....WRONG! I’m so glad they didn’t kill his character off after season 1. Was so sad to hear that the actor that played him died.

I really really loved the first season of this show. So funny. Too bad later seasons deviated from the books so much. I could see doing it if they had added to the story, but the changes didn't improve on it. They just deviated, with the sole exception of Lafayette. Keeping Lafayette alive was a good choice.
