Tara was the kindest, warmest, most gentle soul in the Scooby Gang. The way she cared for Dawn, especially making sure she kept a solid relationship with Dawn after breaking up with Willow. And how she never judged Buffy when Buffy broke down and confessed about her and Spike and only showed her quiet support and understanding. Most people focus on Tara as the love of Willow's life, but it's worth noticing how good she was to the rest of the gang, particularly Buffy and Dawn.

Tara taking care of different members of the scoobies is one of the traits that makes her such an endearing person. You can feel the lack of her presence when she's not onscreen.

The way that Tara was the only person who took time out of her schedule to spend specifically with Dawn 😭. She just had the gentlest, kindest soul ever, and her death absolutely shattered me 😭

@@NateAte9 she was the best for taking Dawn's welfare seriously even though she wasn't technically her guardian or under any obligation to her. As short as it was I loved their relationship.

One of the best Tara vids I've seen, thank you for sharing. And Tara's chill side, while we didn't see as much of it as I'd have liked, what we did see was amazing, as you've shown here perfectly.

@faithvictoria90147 ай бұрын
Thank you! I think they appreciated her much more after Family, when they realised what she was going through to be with them. But it would've been nice to see them properly mourning her, the show just kinda skipped that part (except with Willow) and it made it feel like their relationships with Tara were super shallow when they weren't

My favourite character by some distance on the show. The senseless way they killed off the character only spoke to how little the writers understood actual drama. As for Tara, she was easily the character that most embodied devotion, love and compassion. Her relationship with Willow, whilst toxic on Willow's part, was still a very positive portrayal of a lesbian couple and I wish the writers had had more courage to stick with it rather than fall into destructive tropes just to try and get a little shock going. her death ended my love for ths show. I watched Season 7 hoping for her return but given what we know now about what was happening behind the scenes, I am glad she chose not to return, especially in the way Joss intended.

"... did some pretty dumb stuff." Tara, you still *are* doing some pretty dumb stuff; only worse stuff now: such as cohabitating with another woman, and dialing up literal *devils* at that.

I'm a little confused: if you don't like the character, why do you keep commenting on the video?

@@faithvictoria9014 No, don't get me wrong; I like the character- I simply disagree, deeply and rightly, with some of her conduct choices.
@faithvictoria9014 Жыл бұрын
@@chissstardestroyer ok so why do you disagree with her cohabiting with Willow? Is it because Willow ended up being toxic toward her in season six?
@chissstardestroyer Жыл бұрын
@@faithvictoria9014 That's definitely part of it: they both hurt themselves over the course of it, but *any and all* cohabitation literally inevitably always leads to self-destructive behavior... your initial question about that was, while spot on, not nearly sufficient to nail what's wrong with it. She *was* doing some pretty dumb stuff- or as I responded, still is. This's some dumb stuff she's up to, even dumber is dialing up literal demons via spells and the like- things she *should* know better than to do.
@faithvictoria9014 Жыл бұрын
@@chissstardestroyer I'm sorry if I keep missing your point, but I still have some questions in regards to your answer: throughout the show Tara performs magic spells using the energy from the world around her to do simple things, like throwing smoke in a monster's eyes. It's stated many times that she doesn't believe calling on more powerful demons or gods is morally right. She sabotages the spell to summon the goddess Thesbia, which Willow wanted to do. She refuses to call Osiris to summon Joyce, and only agrees to do it with Buffy because her death was not natural so there may be hope of not violating a natural boundary. Again, it's really Willow pushing for that one, and Tara wanting to hold back. Other characters summon demons all throughout the show, like Anya calling on D'Hoffryn in Something Blue or Xander summoning Sweet in Once More With Feeling to have a musical spell predict a happy ending. Do you also consider these decisions morally incorrect? Not trying to discredit your opinion, just curious.

You think about Tara's word-choice, that's a clear proof of her not being a good woman in this show; but one that's really secretly vile.
@kyleellis1825 Жыл бұрын
What is your childhood trauma? Tara is by far the most wholesome member of the Scoobies. That you could even joke about calling her vile is a clear reflection of you're lack of humanity.
@chissstardestroyer Жыл бұрын
@@kyleellis1825 Well, her being the most wholesome of the Scoobies indicates that they're *well* in over their heads; and her cohabitating is in and of itself proof that she's not wholesome at all come to think of it.
@kyleellis1825 Жыл бұрын
@@chissstardestroyer No, your only "evidence" is that the video creator had to think about Tara's words. It's a 2 minute video and Tara has at least 20 minutes of screen time, so yeah, they have to think about what clips to use. Cohabitating. Oh, so because she lives with a woman she's evil? I thought you dinosaurs died out.
@chissstardestroyer Жыл бұрын
@@kyleellis1825 No, the evidence is based solely on reality... and as far as cohabitating: that kind of thing: living together as if married when you're not, and in their case, will never be; always is evil.
@kyleellis1825 Жыл бұрын
@@chissstardestroyer No, the evidence you provided was word choice. You didn't even provide examples of which of her words are the bad ones. You've proven yourself to be nothing but a hate filled bigot. The evil one is you.
