Preach Taraj!!!!. I was raised in the hood around the same time that she was there. DC offered little to none opportunities for poor black families. The district of Columbia is still so divided. It is basically the haves and the have nots in DC. I am so proud of her for making it out of the hood. We need more women like her. Taraji never forgot when she came from. Thank you my sister. I'm actually shocked that Lee Daniels never initially thought of Terrence as their Lucious. I mean the man was nominated for Oscar for Hustle and Flow where he played wanna be rapper trying to survive in a rough hood. That should have been their cue for Empire.
