The heavy cruisers designed during World War II became the epitome of their class, making them the most formidable and powerful U.S. heavy cruisers in history. After the development of a 152 mm automatic gun, the U.S. Navy High Command placed an order for a similar gun but with a caliber of 203 mm. New cruisers were to be equipped with triple-gun turrets featuring the aforementioned 203 mm guns and fitted with a thick armored deck for protection against aerial bomb attacks. USS Des Moines conducted various diplomatic and representative missions. She was also used for training cadets and in naval exercises.

Holy crap - the best replay I've ever seen. Seen higher damage but this is an actual game winning performance. Without you i would be convinced it would have been a blow-out loss for your team

Just before that he said something to the effect of "who needs a team when you have solota*ds". meanwhile he scores 1k in a winning game after going solo through mid, pushing himself into being flanked by crossfire from both sides.

GK had the xp that the top scorer usually has. That is how good of a game the DM player had.

Wow, watching this replay just made me realize a brilliant strategy with this map. Use Destroyers on one flank to screen and steadily drop torpedoes while fleeing to cap, in the meantime the entire force heavily pushes the opposite side. You can overwhelm them and then also head back to secure spawn if need be without losing destroyers. They can be your eyes and defense as long as they stay at distance and drop torpedoes

Yes, perfect play. Textbook use of radar and hydro. But I think his team also did their part. In critical moments they provided firepower and helped him sinking down full hp targets.

That dm made excellent use of the minimap. He fell back at the critical moment when the enemies flank fell (the complaining ally yamagiri who died chasing the burgoinese) and when he went back to help the battleships at spawn. He took out the shima who wasnt paying attention, as well as caught them off gaurd when he went undetected for a bit. Really quick thinking

This is really good play. Good positioning, excellent shooting, wise decisions. Very well done, congratulations. There was also some bad play on the behalf of the enemy team, but the cake gets the full health Mecklenburg who went down doing shit, except for sailing broadside to a DM and GK.

Mecklenburg also should have focused DM, not GK. When you have a DD left, kill the radar cruiser.

Amazing play and amazing how so many BB's just didn't respect the DM AP by showing broadside .... stupid DD's making it easy to for the Radar to catch them out and wow the broadsides of the BB's time and time again. Well played, but really they threw that match.
