I love the way she sees the universe .... and the fragility she has found all over.... "I know exactly how to shop my hand off if i needed to..." you can actually write poems, right from her ideas from this vieos.... is honest, litt morbid, and very beautiful

Brilliant , thank you for sharing this almost obscure art form , the art of turning the raw materials of life and death back into a new conceptual , personal view of life. Painstaking and Wonderful recontextualised view of the after death legacy, inspirational . I'm so glad I found your insight. Thanks again

This was really cool. I want to see what she is creating in 20 years. I wouldn't describe it as morbid after she explained her thoughts on what it meant to her. It's truly just another artist at work here. I like how she waited for a fresh new day to start detailing her bird project. It is a solid strategy to sleep on it and see what the next day brings.

13:18 if what you see in dream your stuffed birds coming alive and attacking you , and especially if it vivid clear image that you do not forget it next day, it means that it is a warning sign that you should stop doing it... we die when we sleep it is called small death our soul is taken while asleep that is why you do not feel the passing of time etc , if it is our day to die the soul do not come back to our bodies, so we die. if it is not our day the soul comebacks to the body and you awake and live... that is for death that occurs in bed, different thing death in accident etc.. If you have a vivid Dream and you remember it very well, then it is a visions, and it is s a message to the person to do a thing or to stop doing a thing depending on the content of the dream, it can also be symbolic or literal which need no interpretation like her dream in this video and if the message is repeated it is a very sure sign that is a vision but vision can come to you only once. Vision is different than regular dream, normal nightmare, or wishful desire that want to be fulfilled, where you forget it easily the next day.

@@Corrie-gk4go dear Corrie, I wrote it for her she was wondering about the meaning of the dream. How people can ask here if I never made a comment? you would be surprised how vivid dreams some of us have, and some pious people even see their dreams unfold. Your age and personal experience should have made you kind, or at least elaborate on what bothered you about my comment, rather then 4 word comment and then give it a "like" immediately afterward. May Allah give you light, mercy and guidance. Amin. Nice day :)

Her art is stunningly beautiful. She gives new life to these deceased animals. Like most art, it's the artist who people are attracted to. It's their story and who they are (personality). Polly is beautiful on the outside and it's so interesting to hear her talk about things such as her knowing how she could cut off her own hand if she had to. A shocking pleasant surprise to hear! Her art reflects her a ton. She is intriguing and so is her art.

im not sure how i feel about this. i dont eat meat and i found myself nearly crying when she was re feathering the bird over the body form . she had interesting things to say about her practice and the artist self talk and questioning why we do these things.

+1chipchap She said that she only uses animals that have died of natural causes, so it's not like she's killing them or paying anyone to kill them, they're already dead and not something to cry over. And in preserving them this way- they can have meaning and be appreciated even long after death. It's beautiful really.

I was constantly switching my opinion about that lady while I was watching. The emotional coldness I felt when I was listening to what she said and watching her do what she does made me think that there must be something wrong with her emotional skills. How can you do that and not cry all day long? On the other hand I think I understood a little bit of the artistic intention behind it. Its definitly touching artwork. But why using the remains of creatures that really existed and repurposing them into something that has nothing to do with their lifes? To me it feels like disregarding their dignity as the beautiful and unique creatures they once were. In using replica, like in the tower of crow femurs, you could probably get the same effect - without that uncomfortable taste of desacration.

oooohhhhh feeding is a terrifying idea, eating food is weird and macabre! the thing is about bats, is that THEY CAN GET YOU!! oooooooooooohhhhhhh. this is a perfect example of people falling for the bullshit of artists. its fucked up to be using the dead bodies of once living creatures for luxurious past times and creative endeavours. this woman has a weird lack of empathy, shes just stroking all these dead animals saying they're beautiful and cute as if they're little soft toys, i understand that there is a quality in taxidermy that is quite beautiful, but to take it to the mass extent she does and still act so cavalier about it is too far. This is psychopathic art.
@willbrown4046

+NoBodhi 777 Hahahaha Art isn't always meant to be for the faint of heart. Psychopathic? Really? Live in the world much? There's psychopathy all around you. This artist is the least of your issues. If I were you I would worry more about the individuals that purposely go out and kill the animals for pointless trophies.
@suncat5160
@suncat5160 9 жыл бұрын
+Will Brown I didn't say art is always meant to be for the faint of heart. Nor do I understand the logic behind discarding my point about this artist being psychopathic just because there are a lot of other psychopaths, if I said she was a racist would you say "there are lots of racists so who cares?". Psychopathy? Really? Yeah.. It's not just reserved for bankers and politicians m8
@suncat5160
@suncat5160 9 жыл бұрын
+Will Brown those people wouldn't bother killing those animals unless there was a market for it. You act like you care about animals but really, if you think it looks like cute enough, you don't care. So if I were you I'd worry about your cherry picking ego.
@willbrown4046
@willbrown4046 9 жыл бұрын
+NoBodhi 777 My ego Is perfectly healthy. My remark towards you was merely to emphasize that I felt you were over reacting. It is a common practice for lower thinkers to use broad, slashing terms for psychosis when they are intimidated by someone who explores a creative hobby, practice or career. Especially if there is even the most minute form of macabre to it. In fact if you explore primitive culture all around the world many of them have deep seeded associations with hunger and feeding. It's not necessarily a common thought with more modern cultures. But, It would be a natural connection to express something primal and guttural. And frankly, it is those people who do express a creative thought process that are actually more sane and the least psychopathic people you could find. If you happen to admire mediocrity and individuals who enjoy the day to day life of "business as usual" and enjoy the blase lifestyle. Awesome! But the flippant tossing of psycho analytical terms just because you don't understand something is shameful.
