@@martinkuller Aloha Martin. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment. I am so happy that you have been to Tarangire NP! It is a fabulous location to see the beauty of Tanzania. Did you go in the Dry Season? If so, how was it? I’ve been three times but only in February. I’ve heard in the Dry Season there are so many elephants! Thanks again. Happy holidays! Aloha, Lee

Beautiful captures thanks 🌷 #subscribed immediately… I plan to visit Tarangire too, it will be my 1st african safari (will visit Ngorongoro crater too) 🥰 Love #all the animals, however elepants 🐘 and giraffes🦒 are my favourite so I think Tarangire is a hood choice 😅 May I ask #when did you visit? I was thinking end of May or October to avoid the masses … did you take any anti malaria medication please?
@LeeScott-LightSourceKauaiАй бұрын
@@Lindy88888 Aloha Lindy! Thank you for watching and for your kind comment.Tarangire is a wonderful park. I have been three times, all in February. I think October would be a good time to visit as I to s the end of the dry season, but the rains usually haven’t started. End of March, April and May will likely be “Green Season” and very wet with heavy rains, making the road difficult to pass and the animals difficult to see because of the high grass. Peak season and the time with the most elephants and largest elephant herds is the Dry Season July, August, September. And lastly, no, I do not take any anti malaria medications. I wear long pants, socks, and closed toe shoes. I also use a mosquito spray daily, something with DEET for its strength and effectiveness. I would prefer not to use DEET, but for just a short time I think it’s OK. Have fun! Aloha, Lee

Welcome back from the future !! .. BTW . Did you miss your 70-200 ?
@LeeScott-LightSourceKauai9 ай бұрын
😂 it’s good to be back!!! (From the future 🤣). Thanks! Mmm, did I miss the 70-200? Not really. There was never a moment when I said to myself I wish I had it. I missed the f/2.8 aperture though. The 100-500 has excellent versatility and sharpness but subjects just don’t “pop” with that lens like others with a wider aperture, imho. I was very happy I had the Q2 for landscapes and skies. The 28mm was too wide so I used the “crop” mode and shot at 35mm most of the time.
