I find this helps my arachnaphobia a bit, and I'm not sure why I'm so viscerally repulsed by spiders, I tend to shiver when I see them Watching these helps desentisise me from seeing them, I think Your body can only stay anxious for so long until you need to calm down, even if the anxious stimuli isn't gone yet So you find yourself looking at the thing that makes you anxious, but aren't feeling as uncomfortable as you were and it lessens that negative connection you have to the stimuli

There is in my experience no rain as crazy as SE Asia in the rainy season. You are quickly soaking should you get caught out with no umbrella. Like walk 10 feet and clothes are soaked through. Sounds wonderful.
