I needed to watch something cute after a failed rehousing. First time moving from a big container to a big container with a big tarantula. NO ONE and NOTHING prepared me for just how strong a tarantula is. For the past year I've kept saying, "I used to be arachnophobic, but now I'm an arachnophile!" I'm here to declare: I may be an arachnophile, but dammit, a 7" tarantula charging you is terrifying. I'm still shaking and it's been 20 minutes. ON WITH THE CUTENESS AND DEATH!

Hi Kat, I went past a friends house to work yesterday, and her neighbour was outside with a white and red snake around her. I chatted with her and she mentioned her tarantula and she brought out a Brachypelma emilia. It was about 1 and half inches to 2 inches, so cute.

I found your channel by accident, and have been obsessed ever since. I subbed being scared sh*tless of spiders but your channel has helped me learn a new found respect for spiders although I am still scared sh*tless of them LOL. Thank you for always having great content; can’t wait to see where you’re at in the future. ❤️🕷

Your Ts are just so amazing and beautiful. I can’t say that enough. I also loved seeing Magic Frog and Hp Node Toad. I have a lot of tree frogs. My husband and I will have 8-10 during the Summer Nights by leaving the porch light on. They got so friendly with us we could catch moths and feed them by hand. It’s our nightly entrainment in the Summer. This past Summer had baby toads come up from the pond. We couldn’t get as close to them because my dog, Lucy, would sniff them out and coming running up with one in her mouth. However, we were able to save them all, and move them away from her. She only wanted to play with them, hurt them I’m sure and not eat them. I also have skinks and lizards that run free and eat out of my hand. Not to mention lots of friendly salamanders, that seem to love to be held. A salamander would make a good pet for Fiona because they are so easy going. I’m in TN and everting is hibernating now. I miss my little friends during the winter months. Watching your videos has been a great distraction...thank you.

Hi Kat, I love your channel, it is super informative and I learned a LOT watching you & Petko for the past few months until I decided to get my first T ever a B. hamorii and I love it to bits!! Question is, I had it for over two weeks now but it still refusing food. Turnip as I named it has everything set on its enclosure.. a water dish, nice temp (I'm UK based) a hide and enough substrate and it has no early signs of premolt . I wonder if I'm being a bad first timer parent..Would you please have an advice? Thank you!

its bcus theyre happy 😅 no but actually they do it bcus theyre making a temporary silk mat to stand on while they eat. it can take them a long time to eat a big thing and the silk mat stops things like ants getting to them or their dinner, that would be attracted by the dead prey. and the dance is them turning round and round and moving their butt up and down as they make the mat

I had just been reading a Dresden Files book, and stopped when I noticed you had a new video. The way you dressed and the mood of your video seemed a continuation of the novel. Must be karma or something of the sort. Didn't you used to be squeamish about roaches? And now you just grab a handful. That's what I call progress.
