I first discovered beatbox in 2015 and since have fallen in love with the art. I have listened to every track imaginable from past to present and have been continually amazed at the growth of the genre! It has always and will continue to blow my mind of what the human voice is capable of!!

3:05 - I really recommend the Anthony Ray, Eshplume, Taras Stanin, and Improver livestream where they dove deep into the craft and the reason for the production and sound engineering on the backend. While he can do the routine clean without any engineering, he chooses to produce to move the track out from just beatbox into the wider music world.

Thanks for the recommendation! I do get why the added engineering after the actual performance - it just sounds better and enhances certain aspects of the piece, I personally like this. A lot.

Short version of the explanation would be that most beatboxing videos like this have some form of mastering done to them. Equalizers, some bass boosting, some reverb, stuff like that. Especially the sort of music video ones like the Jairo one you did before, where they're lipsyncing along to the track. There's plenty of raw videos as well though, with little to no post production. That being said, everything you hear is still very much real and coming out of these wonderful human beings' mouths. Even being a huge beatboxing fan for like 10 years now it still amazes me how they can come up with crazy new sounds when they already have so many at their disposal 😂

Taras does his own post production sound engineering. He added reverb and some EQ into the post production to make the deep bass notes and higher vocals cleaner. However, he is an outstandingly talented beatboxer and vocalist and is able to perform all of the sounds and vocal techniques very cleanly live. Taras and Improver named their tag team "Fake and Autotune" and performed their cover of Zhu - Faded without a microphone to target the haters that did not believe that they could naturally perform these techniques.

Well it is a produced piece so not a little reverb a lot of reverb has been used and other effects to but the change in pitch , intensity its all raw. If you want to you can check the raw version of the same in his shorts you will get what I am talking about ✨ And I am not that good in English so , excuse me for grammatical mistakes and etc🥺

As an aside, go take a look at The Fairy Voice Mother, she’s gone into the technicalities of how it’s done. Also she’s done a cover (her first single) of Nine inch nails/Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” it’s in the Lolli Wren section of her channels - I would really love you to react to it; but if you do get the tissues out, it’s the most emotional cover I’ve ever heard, plus it’s a bit to do with her own life struggles. 🌹

The reverb is done post processing. As these are just performances of his, he gets a pass for using edits. If he was performing this for a beatbox battle, he couldn't use it. (He actually has a version without the edits for his GBB submission)
