The vocal fry (if I heard you accurately) and EDM effect you say he's using is done completely by his voice and beatbox - none of that sound is postproduction effects. You can hear him do the same in his livestreams. It's crazily impressive how he is able to naturally make the sounds that others must use audio engineering to produce in their music.
