@@reginadavis1028 Being a vocal coach doesn't mean you're able to do everything. We all have a specialty, a style. Particularly with runs...not all voices have that level of agility, and it isn't something that everyone can develop - some voices are agile, some are heavy, some are light. So no, a coach better be able to imitate everything isn't accurate at all. More accurate - a vocal coach had better be able to explain everything.

Nice video breaking down what makes Shoshana so wonderful to listen to. Each year for the last 4-5 years she returns here to Portland and does a concert to fund arts at her high school and the district. She sings in the school auditorium--which is actually a good acoustic space--and brings in student performers from around the district to sing and play with her onstage. It's a great concert. The students get some personal coaching with her. The band is local guys mixed with a couple of her regulars and her band leader. Pretty fantastic stuff and she raises the hairs on the back of your neck for a couple of incredible hours.

What an AWESOME performance of this song! I love that bluesy sound, that this song presents. It really shocked me, when I heard Ed Shearin perform it. Exactly, Shoshana is a powerhouse👏😭😭 I mean this performance was emotionally, spiritually and physically there and the soul she has!! I mean😍 I really do listen to this over and over again. Now! Questions!: At 6:40, Tara, what was the placement at the very top of that note? Was it head voice? And what about the notes leading up to the top? Because I feel like it was a very light chest I guess hahaha.. At 6:00, When Shoshana goes high , she has this gorgeous almost raspiness, also airy ,double tone, thing going on, I wanna know how to do that or if it's something that can be practiced or is it just in her voice? Because wow😭😭👌❤ Is Shoshana classically trained? Great video Tara❤ I also really wanted you to react to this gorgeous performance😭🔥🔥🎷🎷🎷
