I'm convinced that hiring vocal coach to help better utilize your voice is crucial. Especially if you going to give speeches and be in the public eye. You may never learn how to sing, but working with a coach will help control your pitch, tone, range, cadence, breathing. Its crazy how much you learn from just watching short videos.

@ Tara, I have a question for you. Is it possible to overcome tone deafness?
@DreadKyller5 жыл бұрын
To answer that question we'd first have to know whether you're talking about actual tone deafness or whether you're using the term the way most people do. Tone Deafness is an actual medical condition (Amusia), and is extremely, rare (Only 4% of people have some form of it, to varying degrees of severity). If you are able to hear a difference between two notes in pitch, at all, then congratulations you're very, very likely not actually tone-deaf. Truly tone-dead people can not distinguish between pitches, pretty much at all. Some people with less severe cases may be able to hear some difference, but it's not fine-grain differentiation. Amusia is a physical condition, caused either by a disorder when born and growing up that causes the brain to work differently in those areas (Congenital Amusia), or can be caused by brain damage (Acquired Amusia), but it's in the brain, a physical issue with how te brain processes sound, and thus in theory overcoming it would be hard to do from a purely practice standpoint, without theoretical medications or surgeries/treatments. Not being able to sing on-tune is not necessarily caused by tone deafness, and is often more just needing better reference. The way you sound to yourself often sounds different from how others hear you, which can be detrimental if you focus only on what you sound like to yourself, record yourself with a microphone and play it back to get a sense of the difference between what you hear and what you sound like to others, obviously you should use a decent quality mic and not something that won't allow you to hear what you sound like at all, or get a trusted friend to help. Are you able to tell when you sing off pitch? If you can tell you're off pitch then likely what you need to do is just practice, trying to make a unison with an instrument can be helpful as it's often easier to hear if you're off when given a reference tone, a keyboard or piano is useful for this, play a note and try to hit it, if you miss adjust your pitch until it sounds in unison. If you're truly tone-deaf this won't be that feasible. There's debate over whether people with Amusia can overcome it, there is a study that has claimed to show that it may be possible, but there's a lack of evidence and trials, and so for now no known treatment for Amusia (either Congenital or Acquired forms) really exists.
@mikaelarivera18655 жыл бұрын
Yeah, as long as you KNOW that you're singing it wrong, and you can notice it on your own, I dont think you're tone deaf. If this helps, you could watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJPIiXtvadZ8qZI&feature=share

How about reacting to Charlie Puth? He is my favourite singer😍. I LOVE his cover of "I'm not the only one" by Sam Smith... it's so powerful!

I liked hearing more of the "N" sound in the word. It didn't sound like you were just yelling the vowel at me. Like the opposite effect of making sure you hit the consonants at the end of the word. It made the word more, complete. Just my very untrained opinion. PS. Just found your channel and love it. Subscribed

Can you do a reaction video to Matthieu Blanchette? He sings SOS even better than Dimash. Dimash’s version has more parts that move you but only because it’s longer. Whereas Matthieu Blanchette’s version sounds better in its entirety because he has a more pleasant overall voice. This is what I find interesting. Singers can have wide vocal ranges but not necessarily sound good.
