I would still really love to hear your reactions to the Newfangled Four barbershop quartet. They're a bit inside jokey but they sound great and are hilarious. I'm changing my recommendation though to be either their "Gaston" parody or their "Settle for Me" parody. I liked your comment about loving the rasp in his voice. I dont have a raspy voice when I speak, but when I sing (as healthfully as possible) I have a rasp. What advice or comments do you have about a natural rasp to work with it or clear it up and make sure you're singing healthy as well?
