People who say Beyonce is overrated are either jealous, hate her for various reasons, or do not understand the complexity of her music and how hard many of her songs are. Her vocal control is out of this world!! Even her hip hop songs contain some difficult and complex vocals and ad libs. But you have to a musical ear to catch it.

Now THIS is what I call a freakin' TRIBUTE!!! Stevie Wonder is a musical genius, a poet, and one of our most incomparable living legends, period. I agree, although Ed did well, Beyoncé's chemistry with Gary was so bomb and 🔥. Beyoncé's charisma can be so powerful on stage, both vocally as well as her confidence and her beauty. Modern blues singers can do that, but the general U.S. audience hates modern blues. Billboard even dumped blues in with the alternative charts. Billboard doesn't even have a song category for blues. That's probably why people in the U.S. don't hear that kind of singing by living people anymore. In 1993, a girl group which would become Destiny's Child performed. Another performer, Beth Hart also performed. Beth won in her singing category and became an industrial favorite (listened to such artists as Slash, Miley Cyrus, Black Sabbath, Lana Del Rey and the singer of Imagine Dragons) and blues queen. @curlyxvoun2605
@curlyxvoun2605 5 жыл бұрын
Bucketbothead007 “better than Beyoncé” yeah keep dreaming hunny. Maybe you should checkout all of Beyoncé’s best vocal performances. Her many different scales of runs, healthy growls, high notes(for a mezzo that gives a lot of these sopranos a run for their money), low notes, volume control, breath control, support, range, operatic head voice that’s fully developed, pitch, and much more skills are on a master type of level. She hasn’t really been showing off her full capabilities as a vocalist these past few years so that’s why a lot of y’all don’t really know how much of a impressive vocalist she is with many many skills!
@Bucketbothead007
@Bucketbothead007 5 жыл бұрын
@@curlyxvoun2605 I know what she can do, it's her tone & too much vocal gymnastics to the point of overkill that I don't like. Master level? lol It's fine that you feel the way you do, good for you, I don't have a problem with how you feel. Beyonce wishes she had the soul in her voice that Shemekia does. Everyone in the world is not a Beyonce fan, you do realize that, don't you?

Urgh, a vocal coach reactor who actually knows what they’re talking about. Finally Beyoncé & Gary fit together so easily here, but funny enough she’s worked with Ed three times now; here, a Drunk In Love acoustic and Perfect Duet. You’d be surprised how well suited they were for the latter two. I recommend watching them (not necessarily for a reaction video). I think Ed just got lost in the sauce for this one, bless him. Great video, REACT TO LISA FISCHER - HOW CAN I EASE THE PAIN LIVE. Easily one of the most beautiful songs and voices I’ve ever heard, and extremely difficult to sing too

I agree with your assessment about Ed being the third wheel. I think Ed was selected because of his personal tribute to Stevie Wonder during his performances when he prerecorded each segment of Stevie’s Song. Ed killed that performance! This is by far one of top three tribute performances! The intro arrangement was funky, retro, and modern at the same time if that makes sense. Gary Clark Jr, was absolutely refreshing, his musicianship was simply amazing!

no shade to Adam Levine but his voice is way too light and thin to be apart of this tribute, Ed Sheeran's voice has a bit of grit to it when he belts but I do agree he was a bit out of placed with this genre
