A fine piece of work! I can imagine scoring those passing shots were hard to capture but they were brilliantly executed. James finally gets a "named train" of his own, for a little while. ;) It was was great to see the ERS characters and stories come to life! The voice acting was great too. I like the attention to detail with the head codes. When James is pulling the express in the first part, he has two lamps, which means "Class A: Express Passenger". Then, at 4:49, he only has a middle light, which means "Class G: No train". That's either REALLY good attention to detail or an insanely lucky coincidence. Also, I really like James's voice work here. Top quality acting.

The Extended Railway Series V2 represents a meticulous and rewarding effort of all concerned to provide a continuation of the Awdry family's stories. Some excellent characters - Brad included - compliment the established favourites wonderfully; I like what you did with expanding on Jinty. I am sure the Reverend would approve of you at SIF. I was really impressed with how you pulled off James' derailment in that. Trainz physics are pretty awful when it comes to trying to film accidents (and yet I persisted back in the day...) but that looked really good - you struck the balance between making it dramatic yet comedic with the various reactions to the accident. :) As ever, the writing, voice acting and direction were all top notch. Massive well done to all who were involved in this!

The way Jame's derailment was handled was quite impressive. While it is true that trainz has terrible psychics; as you've proved; ingenuity goes a long way in to making something convincing. I know only so much can be done with a trainz crash but I hate it when a crash has no effort in it at all so I'm glad to see a great result. :)

As entertaining as always, tardisrescue. Nothing short of fun, humourous, and ingenious. I'll keep any spoilers out of what I have to say, but here is what I do think of this new work of yours: "The Gravy Train" keeps to the Reverend W. Awdry's theme and characterizations of James, Edward, Henry, Jinty, and Trevor, as well as the Fatt Controller. It had lots of the expectations that the audience can expect from the characters they are familiar with, and introduction of other characters, as well as their development, is nothing short of wonderful and perfectly executed. The cinematography is simply breathtaking, as is the voice acting for all the characters involved. The emotions, ranging from happiness to sadness and everything in between, were captured perfectly, and only added to the brilliance of this work. tardisrescue, you have done another marvelous production, and I cannot help but enjoy it again and again without giving it the highest recommendations and praise.

The Gravy Train, eh? He who would pun would pick a pocket...Only joking, only joking! It's a good name for a dinner train, sort of hard to come up with a decent one since most of the of the great names have already been used. "The Yorkshire Pullman", "The Brighton Belle", "The Fair Maid", "The City of Los Angeles", on it goes. "The Sudrian Flyer" would be a good one, though on a dinner train you're not really in a hurry to get anywhere...oh well. It's sort of funny that James is fuming so much, technically the Express has a name, or at least it used to. I think I read somewhere that it was named "The Wild Nor' Wester", though I'm not sure if this was on any headboards, it might've been an unofficial name, sort of like the fast freight from the docks is known as the "Flying Kipper" to the railwaymen.

Pats on the back to everyone involved here. I honestly found this quite amusing, especially when James skidded past Elsbridge, how'd you pull that maneuver off? A real spot on story. My only gripe is that it was never established what was wrong with Sodor Castle, and that Brad while a cool character, never been too fond of that attitude of his, but hey, to each his own right?
@tardisrescue9 жыл бұрын
Percyfan1998 I'm assuming you mean the bouncing Pony truck. That was a special model for the occasion made by Sean. It was really helpful to have that prop when filming that scene. As for Sodor Castle, the shed scene establishes that he's due a washout, and doesn't receive one. He gets ill as a result, all clogged up in the smokebox. I hope that clarifies things, and I'm sorry if the video didn't make it clear :)
@Percyfan19989 жыл бұрын
I actually took a few rewatches after my initial comment to figure out Castle's problem. To be blunt, it was his fault for not taking his wash down earlier, instead he ran himself to the ground with all that hard work.
@barbaramoran86905 жыл бұрын
Castle needed a washout but he obviously avoided it . There is a video called Wash Up and Brush Up which shows a real engine getting what castle wanted to avoid A WASHOUT .Maintenance day also includes flue cleaning . If you see Wash Up and Brush Up you’d know why Castle wanted to avoid a washout.. I’d love to hear what you think after seeing the washout video .73020 hates every minute of it . They use a rod to clean the flues and high powered sprays of water on inner boiler surfaces .The flute nozzle is the worst.
