Taree flood 20 3 2021

The pictures of scenes 1-6 incl. Martin Bridge are from just before noon, the other pictures (scenes 7-10) just after noon. Martin Bridge is undergoing since an extremely long time a renovation. Suddenly the river's water level jumped to bridge-level. And I am a bit afraid that if the water levels still rise, the bridge could be swept away. The temporary scaffolding already collapsed in parts - collapsed with quite a roaring sound actually.
The scenes of the pictures were taken in the order as displayed:
1. Taree low railway under-path at Railway Street.
2. Whitbread Street not far from Harvey N.
3. Albert Street
4. River Street / Martin Bridge - Sadly those pictures include a cow drifting towards Martin Bridge.
5. Albert Street in front of Lifeline
6, Pulteney Street close to Pulteney Arcade
7. Manning Street close to river
8. Stevenson Street close to river and rowing club
9. Victoria Street in front of Honda and Auto Pro and Burson
10. Macquarie Street close to river and Aquatic Club
The forecast is that quite a lot more rain is going to come.
