As much as I don’t usually like Christina’s, um, style, that peninsula that Tarek wants to take credit for is an abomination. It looks like a mistake the way it hangs out into that opening into the next room, and is covered in reclaimed wood that clashes with the floors. Horrible! 😱

Yeah, the peninsula is ugly with that would finish that competes with the flooring. Why no fridge, makes no sense. Some nice details in the bathrooms but overall... pretty underwhelming.

First of all, I am cheap, I would never think that wallpaper for just one medium-size wall would be anywhere near $ 500. Second, why would he think that they are limited to only two paint colors.Third, if you are selling a house for over $600,000 why is every little thing such a deal-breaker. On a different home remodeling show, the homeowner bought a house for $400,000 and had a budget of $175,000 just for remodeling. They wanted a mini wine fridge that cost $300 and was told there was not enough money in the budget to do the fridge.

This is their company, not their marriage or relationship. Its not "ownership" over her, but it is HIS job in the company to run the financial aspects of everything. That is why final decisions on costs usually go through him first. She is in charge of design, so that's why she mostly wins those disagreements. They both have their moments of caving to the other, but for the most part, they each have their authority in different areas of the business. From a house-flipping perspective, I like them both equally. They are both good at their jobs, but their respective places in the company conflict from time-time. It is no different for any one who partners in a business with someone else.
