I use regular polish for about 4 year, I give myself a manicure before painting my nails. When ready to paint, I wipe off with nail polish remover, add base cost nail strenghter, polish about 2 coats and then I use gel like top coat. My polish last about 5 to 7 days before chipping off.

Taren, great advice about the dermatologist. My mom was a tanning bed enthusiast in her 30’s, she’s now in her 70’s and now I’ve had to take her to many, many, many appointments to have basil cell and squamous cell carcinomas removed. And to solve the mystery, yes, Sonny’s is a franchise…I’m in Mississippi and we have at least 2 locally to us. I get the pulled pork platter for dinner or lunch time I get the Big Deal and use the sweet sauce, so good!

I rarely paint my nails but when I do I put 2 coats of polish then protective clear coat over that. If I don't use the top coat the paint will chip. Definitely buy a good polish if you want to do them at home. I know there's gel kits out there too but I haven't tried them.

Happy Thursday.. what amazing goodie bags! I want one. I rarely do anything to my nails, but when I do I use those peel and stick polish. They have some really pretty colors and designs. The ones I get are about $7ish and you stick it on your nail and file off the top for an exact fit. At Christmas they had the cutest reindeer and Christmas lights. They last about a week. You just peel it off. Have a great rest of your trip and weekend 🤗

Enjoy your vacation! I have used a clear nail polish but it always chips after a couple of days. When getting a manicure I will get a color nail polish. Great video as always !!

I’m at a constant struggle between going to the salon to doing them myself and now doing nothing. I love the look from the salon but so much maintenance, damage and cost. Ugh

I always do my own nails now that I found Kur by Londontown nail concealer. I can’t recommend it enough, 2 coats, no base or top coat, and it lasts a good 5 days. I get compliments all the time and people think it’s gel and it’s not. Love, love, love it ❤

My dermatologist only gives a paper sheet, not the gown. Yes, Sonny's is a franchise that started in Gainesville, FL. We ate at that one on Saturday while we were in town for a puzzle swap. I always have trouble with packing. Maybe I need a suitcase and travel bag like yours! 😊

You might try just getting your nails buffed and not get any polish. Your nails look nice and you don't have to worry about chipping your polish.

Ok, I just had a moment of what? When you said you take off everything but bra and underwear, I heard, take off everything but my brown underwear. I was like brown underwear? Why they make you wear brown underwear then I thought, oh no! They don't want it to be visible if you have an accident. 😂 I was thinking how rough are they when searching your body?! Nail product...My hairdresser found a product for our thin, peeling in layers, nails. As long as I used it according to directions it worked great. She found it stopped her nail issues too. It's by "duri". Nail Growth System. REJUVACOTE 2. Super sensitive formula. Formulated without DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde It's a clear polish that you apply one coat daily, then remove all and start over once a week. I confess, I didn't use it strictly by directions, but it worked anyway. I usually applied 2 coats on day 1, and began adding another coat on day three to six. I skipped a day here and there, so I probably used it average of 4 - 5 times. I plan to buy more, but haven't had time to search for it. I for sure need to replenish before next winter, since my nails do okay with just clear polish throughout summer.
