Maybe someone else already mentioned this but about the BERRIES: Never wash them before storing. It will rot them so much faster than if you wash just before use. I put mine into a glass or plastic storage container with an airtight lid, ON TOP OF one layer of paper toweling, then cover with one layer of paper toweling. The paper towels absorb any moisture. Moisture is the enemy of berries (and most veggies and greens).

Woman of a Certain Age if you soak them in white vinegar and water then lay them out in a cookie sheet (on a towel) to dry you can kill the bacteria that will cause the early rotting.

@@mauranoonan8951 I'm going to try this. I never wash my berries until I need them. I bake a lot but it drives me crazy when I go to use my berries and they're already starting to get moldy. On Sunday I didn't even bother to buy any because of that issue. Thanks for the tip... 👍🏻

@@susie7336 Yeah I feel you. That extra cost for organic would be like a double punch to my gut, lol. I only ever buy organic if the price point is the same as the reg brands I buy. But it's only on a rare occasions I can find 1-2 berries that are priced the same. Because I bake a lot and use fresh berries but also live with chronic pain I can't just spend the entire week baking/using all of those fresh berries. Like you I feel the same when I can't even freeze them because they've gone bad. I'm crossing fingers that this tip works. I'm gonna pick some berries up this week and give it a go. Wishing you luck with this tip as well... 🙂

You should try making your own pita chips. So easy. Cut pita bread into triangles, mix olive oil and spices, spread on the pita triangles and bake in the oven for 7 minutes. So good!

I love my target sheets! Threshold signature 800 thread count. It’s pricey, but it gets silkier and softer with age, and feels so cool to the touch. 👍

Regarding berries . Wash them then soak them in water with a couple teaspoons of vinegar and soak for 10 minutes then rinse and dry . Store in fridge . They last pretty long !

Sheets to try: Kohl’s called The Big One. They always have them very cheap for “Black Friday” this time of year, I buy 2 sets a year, switch them out weekly on our bed and throw them away (or save them for painting drop cloths) when I get new ones. I’m slightly bougie and these sheets are very un-bougie. They are cotton, only 275 thread count, slightly stiff, and stay cool, which is exactly what I like in a sheet.

The Oxo produce containers are the BEST for keeping produce fresh for weeks! We bought grapes at Costco and they lasted weeks and weeks! Usually they go bad the same week we buy them. I was really impressed.

Tupperware has awesome containers for fruit/veggies. Doesn't matter what you have you can adjust whether its open or not and it keeps them longer. I LOVE it.

Little tip!! Wash your berries as you eat them! I found washing them even with the containers they go bad sooo fast

Before refrigerating your berries submerge them in water with a few tablespoonsful of apple cider vinegar. Let them drain before putting them away. They won't mold.

Best thing to do to keep ur berries longer.. soak them in apple cider vinegar water.. and strain them for a while. Thats what we do.. lasts a long time. Since ur daughter likes those yogurts.. gogo squeez had both organic yogurt and fruit pouches. Boxes can be brought target or sams clubs/ costco. My nephew would eat that all day if he could. Try the icee brand sparkling water. I love it. They satisfy my soda cravings cuz of the carbonation. Again sams/ costco sell them by the case. Or other places might too or individually. They have a ton of diff flavors

Just wrap your cleaned and air dried berries in paper towels. I make little packets of paper towel wrapped berries, put an adicional on the top so it absorbs condensated water.

Jess, hear me out for a second: getting kids to eat veggies it hard, even when you led by example. I was an incredibly picky eater and apparently my kiddos inherited it, so don't feel bad. My oldest just turned 4 (on Sunday! And I'm 31 now bonkers!) and he still eats the pouches to get his veggies for the day. So don't feel bad, I'm just happy if my kiddos eat. Oh the stockings! So cute! We I was pregnant with my second (and last) we already had names picked out and boy or girl it was going to start with an S, so we just bought all of out matching stockings then and its worked out really well for us so far!

I recently started buying those squeeze baby food for my dogs. I have this “lick mat” on Amazon (silicon pad with groves to put liquid treats - ie applesauce in). You freeze the “lick mat” and I’ve been doing unsweetened applesauce or plain greek yogurt and now I’ve been trying some of this baby food. My 3 dogs LOVE these little treat mats.

Love your grocery hauls videos!!!!! ❤️ 😊 I use those chipotle chilis in adobo for when I prepare a tuna fish dip, which consists of 1 can of tuna, couple of spoonfuls of mayo, 3 chipotle chilis, pinch of turmeric, pinch of Italian mixed dry herbs, salt and pepper. We have it with tortilla chips or smooth some onto a soft corn tortilla. So, I always have heaps of cans stored in the cupboard! 😊

If you're looking to cut down on plastic use, look into Blueland!! Amazing company and their foaming soap is amazing, refillable and comes in little tabs so there is 0 plastic. I am from Belgium. We have had an Aldi behind our corner (a big one too) for over 3 decades and it is an awesome supermarket. Keep an eye on what they offer in promotions (non-food often). They do "leaflets" here in Belgium, weekly ones. Aldi is amazing and cheaper than most places! We love it a lot. Also Lidl is behind our corner and that is an amazing supermarket as well. We usually shop both places, prices are about equal.

Only wash the berries you are getting ready to eat. It will also keep them fresh longer. I have a berry container similar too yours. They don’t sit on the bottom of the container and any water falls to the bottom.
