I loved that xmas tree ! That was a good idea . I recommend use xmas figure buttons like ornaments , they look it really good for mini trees.

Funny thing, I went to my nieces house and in her daughters play room were all these poster board doll rooms and furniture and accessories- and I was thinking “I recognize that”. And I said to her “you should watch My Froggy Stuff -she does all these kinds of things”. For the cedar trees, you could glue them into mini terracotta pots that you painted, and cut up bits of brown and black craft foam for mulch. For an indoor tree, look around on the ground at Lowe’s where the Christmas trees are in the garden center. The branches on the ground are considered trash. They’ll give them to you. Find one that’s tree shaped, usually the tip of a branch. IR trim one off your own tree or wreath. Make a base like you did here but, put a small finishing nail through the middle, and push the stand into the branch “trunk”. You’ll have a real tree that smells great.

I found an 18" tree at Hobby Lobby, and I know Dollar Tree has some that are pretty sparse as far as branches go, but adding garland ties to them can bulk them up and make them look nice and full. They're a little tall for 12" dolls, but you could always just say the house has high ceilings and that they bought a 9' tree.

Just a thought about the windows you bought, you can just replace the plastic with regular plastic and then add back the snowflakes every Christmas. I think those windows work like a picture frame.

You could cover up the little tree bases with some layers of cardstock wrapped around to form a pot, then a circle of brown felt to look like potting soil.
