I had guessed the Horizon as number one and Know that the Jackel Legacy would show up somewhere. I'm wondering how the Iron Forge will perform, and am about to put a 55 X 4.5 X 35 layout on it and drill baby drill! 😊 Thanks for the ball review.

It’s not by release date either; it’s manufacture date. For most brands this will require knowing how to read their serial number. Storm products makes it easy, luckily

The PBA have a rule now that the balls thrown have to be within 2 years of manufacture. It's got to do with ball hardness and lane footprint

@JSBowling2011 yup, it also makes it so the ball manufacturers keep having to pump out bowling ball after bowling ball which means the balls are gunna become forgettable really fast. I guess flooding the market. Urethane gets softer over time, Reactive actually gets harder over time, so I get why it's a thing. But 2 years is ridiculously short life for a bowling ball

Wouldn't the oil be absobed into the coverstock not evaporated? So that would mean the ball is sucking up the oil stupidly fast because the pores are bigger? The ball would be oil logged extremely fast right?

How do you get all of the oil out of the ball?

Probably won’t get it all out but you bake it. The oil sweats out wipe it off. Do that 1-3 times then resurface. Gotta be careful doing it though cause if done wrong you can damage the ball
