Its an ez job, can't really say its fun since ppl want stuff on the line fast, but luckily for me I have very chilled co workers to socialize/laugh while unloading. Stocking seems more fun tbh lol but hey ez hours= ez money. Never could say these things working at Lowes tho terrible management there.

What's the heaviest boxes you come across (weight wise)? How often do you get those in a trailer? Are you timed & if so, what's your average time frame/deadline to finish unloading the truck? Do you rotate people (a cycle where you'll have someone inside the trailer for like 15 mins then swap them out for someone else)? Please & thank you

Generally they want the truck unloaded in about 1 hour and 30 min at least for my store

Depending what department, your gonna be in there the whole 10-12 hours broski lol. No rotations.(besides 2 breaks) Most cases they'd have the females processing while the males do the heavy lifting. Because God forbid a woman throwing 🤦‍♂️

@shae1414 yeah, nah here in arizona woman don't throw. It gets close to 135 degrees in those trailers during the summer. On top of that they all complain about it too lol

Wtf, does your store usually only have one person unloading the truck trailer??? It would take forever to unload a 2500+ piece truck if you did it that way especially when you have doubles.

yes Target Serramonte only wants one guy unloading the truck. They rather have more people on the line than have 2 guys in the truck. Not many people in our store can unload the trucks or are NOT able too ANYMORE and ask if they can do something else. We have twice the amount of retired truck unloader on the line than the 3 guys who unload the truck by themselfs 5 to 6 consecutive days (2 trucks almost everyday) for almost a year.

2 hrs. tops to unload a 2500 piece truck. Im an experienced truck unloader. Target 0183.

This loose packed shipping, piece by piece unload. It is archaic and is so 1950’s. It’s painful to watch. And certainly the most inefficient way to ship merchandise.

They would have to re-configure their DC's to change the process.
