Target Shoplifter Makes It TEN Times Worse for Herself When She Does This

On June 24, 2024, in Boynton Beach, Florida, police responded to a Target store regarding an ongoing shoplifting incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a Target employee working in loss prevention. Moments later, officers observed the loss prevention staff attempting to stop two females pushing fully loaded shopping carts as they exited the store without paying at any point of sale. Police immediately approached the first female, whose identity remains unknown at this time. Despite claiming to have paid for the merchandise, she repeatedly refused to show her receipt and attempted to walk in the opposite direction. She was initially charged with grand theft and three counts of resisting arrest. However, the charges of resisting arrest were later dropped by the prosecutor. An investigation into her previous thefts at Target is currently underway. I’m glad to see someone else that feels the same way I do about these crimes. Society is getting more of what we have been tolerating. As long as there continues to be almost no penalty for shoplifting, fleeing and eluding (usually in a vehicle), and drunk driving, there will be many, many more people who have no reason or incentive to live a law abiding life. I firmly believe that if the penalties for these misdemeanor crimes were severe enough, for example a minimum of five entire years in prison without a chance for probation or parole (I mean spending every single day of the sentence), we would immediately see a drastic reduction in these crimes. Many of these offenders are repeaters, but if the sentence would exponentially increase with each conviction, they would learn their lesson after the first or second time. Just for argument, I believe that If we executed people the day following conviction for shoplifting, drunk driving, or fleeing, after six months to a year there would be a near stop to the crime. Since there’s almost no consequence for committing these crimes and prosecutors seem to love dropping charges so they can make their jobs easier, it’s only going to continue to become worse until the general population puts a stop to it.

The carts on top looked like they contained the same items. I saw in comments on another video where some shoplifters were stealing a lot of cleaning supplies because they were easy to turnover unlike electronics and aren't tagged. So carts are full of laundry detergent, paper towels, dishwasher liquid, etc. They trade for cash or drugs and like the person above said, it's somebody else that gives them a shopping list basically. I'd guess these women were probably working together.
