Join Max Whitehall on the banks of Linch Hill Fishery, where Max chose to focus his fishing during 2023 on a quest for his first UK 40lb carp 🎣
Last year he decided to set his sights on a brand new challenge, that being a campaign. Christchurch lake was the target venue, filming himself on the journey and we met up with him a couple of times throughout the year too 🎥

Linch Hill could do with opening back up as a day ticket. It's a crying shame those lakes are exclusive fishing. Carp fishing has become too exclusive, whereby only sponsored anglers, or those working in the trade can fish lakes like Christchurch now.

@@GG-ch1hm too many noddies? Yes, I have noticed the quality of angler has dropped on the day ticket waters. But the majority of anglers who visit Linear, are still excellent anglers. As for putting my name down on Linch, I've had my name down on the list since the new owners took over. But as I'm no longer involved in the trade, I'm overlooked. I mean no disrespect to the lad in the video, but I've probably forgotten more about carp fishing than he'll ever know. I caught my first UK 40 before his was born! Your reply to me is typical of the current snobbish way the, so called elite, look down their noses on day ticket anglers. I'm too old to ever fish on Linch again. See? You've assumed I've never been there. I fished there in the 90s doing my own thing

That is an absolute load of bollocks! If that's the case, why are Linear's carp in such immaculate condition? Why are Bluebell's carp in such immaculate condition? I could use more examples, but you get the idea. You're a snob, mate. How do you think sponsored anglers became good anglers in the first place? I tell you anyway. Club waters and day tickets. Linch Hill's and other such fisheries policy of exclusiveness, represents everything that's bad about modern day carp angling. And it's gonna comeback to bite the sport and those fisheries on the arse
