Targeting kob after taking a long break due to a shoulder injury. Great to be back next to the ocean

After 7 weeks of no fishing due to a terrible shoulder injury, I am finally back on the beach. Obviously I would be targeting my favourite fish, the Kob! took a long stride along the beach in searching of some good water. I found a nice sandbank with great rolling water and sure thing there was a kob on it!

Great to see you back at it!!! Just in time for your October love affair. I've needed to thank you. I'm a self taught bass fisherman. Over the last 2 years I've had my first tastes of coastal fishing. Failure after failure with many hard lessons learnt. I tried everything, baits, lures and tracers many different spots fished. Scratching for anything anywhere and again self taught. I've never learnt the ropes from anyone so trying to rock and surf fish has been a mountain to climb. Luckily I got the patience and persistence. AND THEN I stumbled onto your channel. Ive learnt an incredible amount of priceless tips, tricks and techniques. Your bait demo's are heaven sent an absolute game changer. I appreciate the time you spend sharing knowledge. Your passion and energy is motivational. The reason I really would like to thank you is because based on what I've learnt from you. I managed to land 3 different reef species. Hooked and lost a Ray on the lip of the beach. Hooked and lost a shark one night the tackle didnt hold up. These are my first coastal fish EVER!!! I'm still stoked. The fact I got bites is huge for me. Thank you again for setting my coastal fishing on fire, tight lines

Great to see you back fishing xander. I thought you deleted me from your channel. Do you find that having the ocky leg trailing on your hook you get a lot of missed bites as the fish eat the trailing tentacle and not the main bait. 🐟🎣👌

Haha never will I do such a thing. No never hey, when a kob eats that bait the whole thing goes in his mouth, the smaller fish might pull on the tentacle and not get hooked but that is the idea , so that you do not hook them and the bait will remain for the kob
