Gallie is good on the braai. Garlic butter,salt and pepper. Let the gallie dry out for 15 min before you put it on the braai.

Have to bully the reef gangsters to get the out!! There was a lot of kelp in the front and I suspect I got wrapped up in this kelp. Also I was scratch with a light trace. 1/0 chinu hook. Hook just pulled, didn’t bend or anything.

Hey, Kent I wanna start fishing on the south coast (mostly by Shad bay in Manaba) but I don’t have any experience. Any recommendations on a rod and reel and any other gear I need to get started?

Hi Derek, I would start with a set up for scratching. Much like the style of fishing we did here. You could go with a 12 or 13 “ rod and a 4000-5000 reel size. Okuma has affordable and quality options. Chat to Luckys Manaba. Ask for Ziyaad, Adam or Shane and tell I referred you. Thnks

Do you bleed the fish before storing or do you leave it as it is?

I bleed the fish after it’s been caught. I do so even if I’m going to eat it at a later stage.

Yes if you freeze them whole and not cleaned. If you clean and guy them, the taste won’t be great. Also don’t freeze too many days. Best eaten fresh 🤙🏼
