I love both but the thing is: I really can't believe anymore the reasons alleged by Marko to leave Nightwish. Then, he said he need keep away from stages and the road to recover his mental health and take care of his family. Not much later, he began to play with other mates and some musical projects as special guest and now he is on a gig with Tarja across the seas. This is not like a real rest to me. So, the question remains: Why he quit Nightwish?

He left to get better and he got better, but he has said that some people in the band, specially those managers backstage, did not like his leaving and took it as a personal offense. So there was probably no way to go back. And he's better and healthy and happy now in his new friendship with Tarja.

Maybe a private matter between him and the band, that he does not want to disclose, because that group has had enough public drama already? 💀. Also I think he somehow adressed this, he doesn't seem to have an issue with the ~musicians~ in Nightwish, but with the management.

Marko has said that part of the reason why he left was because of his mental health. He needed to recover, which he did. Marko said that the answers to that came much faster than he expected and he wanted to come back to music. And to be fair, Marko was gone for about 2 years. So it's not like he quit Nightwish and then the next week started performing again. Marko needed a break and he took one. Now Nightwish is saying that they need a break. It doesn't mean they won't come back after some time.
