I discovered Nightwish well after the Tarja stuff and while I 𝒅𝒐 value a lot of the early stuff, I prefer Floor. That being said…I’m so glad Tarja and Marko have found a moment in time to heal and come together to make the music they shared again. I know there must still be a lot of hurt and disappointment deep in them. Wishing everyone involved nothing but the best…🤟🏻

They can perform the song live, as any band or artist can. But as they are not members anymore that becomes a cover technically. But for instance, any remaster or new editions on the materials that Tarja or Marko are in, NW needs their consent to proceed, as they are the credited artists in the master tapes, and so still receive royalties somehow, but the song doesn't belong to them. If they wanna release that on any official and profissional ways of video or song together without Nightwish, they would need consent from Tuomas as well. So, I hope you understood the technicality of "cover" on the title. 😘

I get a feeling that they both cannot wait to be able to sing their own compositions together and leave NW behind... specially these songs that are so overplayed. They are the best at it though, their vocals are intrinsically connected to the song's spirit.

To me Floor and Marko always sounded more natural and better together. Their voices seemed to blend seemlessly. But this is of course just a matter of an opinion. Tarja and Marko sound good to me, too.
