Set 2 has given Tarkin Red some good upgrades and when I wasn't getting out matched I did very well

I’ve destroyed decks outside of Leia and Sabine with my own similar build. But I I get stomped with those two. Even though I have 3 Vaders I’m almost to the point of switching heroic but then I still need 2 For a Cause.. Anyway, enjoy your videos and breakdowns!

Played this deck at weeklies today and it was great. Only thing I always struggle with is playing against Iden or any blue control deck. Idk if Tarkin really has any way to play against those kind of decks.

Been running a similar list minus the vaders. I run AT-ST 6 drop and it’s been surprising a lot of people especially with veers in play.

I was building a very similar deck to this but I was trying to work in the command event, the emperor's legion. Get back all those cheap troopers to drop them all back out the turn after they are removed or you go all in on their units sacrificing them. Maybe it would work better in a palpatine deck where you can ping your own troopers after they deal some damage to finish them off and then turn around and redraw them back up

I thought about it, it is also nice against something like Superlaser Blast when they wipe you.

@@VeiledShotSWU exactly though, if it's an aggro deck, The game probably isn't lasting that long and if it gets to the point where they can superlazer blast you, they might have the upper hand and that case. But I definitely want to throw a few copies in to try it out

If we went more budget friendly and dropped Vader and replaced it with Seventh Sister, would that be too much redundancy with having precision fire in the deck?

That could work, Seventh Sister pushes damage pretty well.

Definitely interesting, the only thing is her value comes from being a force unit that can really get a lot of value while putting pressure on, in this deck I found it to be a little weak as a finisher.

Why open fire instead of strike true?

Strike true only deals more later on and requires a unit, sometimes in the early game if you're trading you may not have a target.

I'm not a huge fan of it in tarkin lists since you're already buffing up so much that you really get blown out if you go all in with academy training.

I think the idea is to deploy Tarkin as early as possible so it isn’t costing resources to put experience tokens on the board, instead you’re getting damage dealt to opponents along with experience tokens being put on the board. Could be wrong (I’m fairly new to the game)

I guess full board and hope that your opponent has the deathstar laser also playing an experience token with tarkin "every" turn could slow some actions down or decisions down. Expecting your opponent to clear your board with events most of the time, overwhelming and choosing which unit to defeat could be a big + for you. But I agree you could take one or two SLT out for something else. Maybe even "The emperors Legion" if you have a big board and your opponent gets rid of it in one phase. But thats very situational. So you should probably go with the sidedeck cards

So I've found that Super Laser lets us advantage our leader action and get tarkin down early while just trading with almost every threat with tarkintown. It allows you to just clear the board and get more value, at the same time, if it doesn't look too great in a game you can always just resource them.

Vader is a crazy one
