Slight note for Tarkov Companion - I've been using it for a few weeks, and it seems that every time I extract while the program is open, the game will not load anything and after a few minutes will give an authorization error and crash. I've checked, and this only happens while the program is open.

two weeks later, it wasnt tarkov companion, it was actually MIP streaming of all things. textures looked really bad, took forever to load into hideout and out of raids. i switch it off and things are much much better

The vityas also got access to a 50 round drum mag , the 600 fire rate Uzi got access to a 100 round c-mag and on the small side note the M9A3 got 30 round extended mags.

Something to also note were the changes to velocity. m80 , m62 , m61 have all been uniformed in their velociity which means their trajectories are going to be way more in line with one another. BCP FMJ got nerfed into the dirt , losing nearly 100 MS velocity , which has knocked this round away from first place for "best trajectory at long range." This adjustment has knocked about 50 ms off the m700 bringing it to sub 900 m/s with the 20" barrel. This change likely doesn't effect many folks. but I sure as hell noticed it.

@@Opachki69420 Eh the increse in pen is actually kinda helpful - but to answer the unsaid question on why the trajectory thing matters is simply with BCP FMJ , it was easier to "thread the needle" on helmets into the face , nape , or throat . compared to things like m62 at the same distance because of how much flatter the trajectory was. this is not the case anymore , which is a nerf, just not a direct one for most people.

@@williamtucker8334wouldn’t call 1 pen less than new m80 useless Hyper pen armour is kinda useless at pve in general tho, raiders/some scavs have bigger hp pool than classic human pmc so mega pen very low dmg bullet can go through head and leave them alive with helmet/objects dmg mitigation.

Not really. If you need tracers to learn bullet drop they are a useful tool, and they reduce recoil

on customs you're missing an extract called railway passage where you need to shoot a green flare to get out (its up near fortress where the railway leads off the map)

Which is actually quite a shame, the patch is good, I can see it, but all the “new year” objects, lights and trees are insanely unoptimized. The further I am from them the closer I am to 100+ fps.

There is also 1 new part for M4 called "AR-15 Magpul B.A.D. Lever bolt release" It gives +2 ergo but don't fit all of the upper receivers

The swap between M61 and M80A1 doesn’t really make sense. M61 has a large hardened steel core. The core of M80A1 is split between a hardened steel tip, and a non-lead alloy base similar to M855A1. Neither are designed for armor penetration; just enhanced barrier penetration, and subsequent fragmentation. The nerf of M62 is good though since it is a lead core projectile like M80, but slightly worse (tracers become unstable as the tracing component burns off). I’ve seen tracers bounce off soft, wet dirt. They’re terrible at penetrating things. It should have never been considered AP. M80, and BCP FMJ are both lead core FMJ projectiles, so they should be roughly equal.

There is also an issue with CBJ and AP for .300 BLK similar to this. CBJ is basically M993/995 with a tungsten core in a sabot while AP is just an M80A1 bullet in a .300 BLK casing.

1:11 that 2 armor pen matters a lot. It make it go over the 42 pen allowed on flea. If it isn't available on peacekeeper it would be a useless ammo like the m62 used to be. I guess it doesn't matter since these ammos have just switched roles and you can just use m62 instead of m80

Light switches are super usefull in nightraids. I was in the new area on customs where you had to plant the cameras. top floor, side of the building. Guy walks in from a corridor, i hit the light switch, lamps went down, he puts on his NVG, then i hit him with 2 lamps on my shotgun and a wall of lead. I quite like this feature :D

Ahhh BSG and not telling their player base all the changes. What a combo! It's nice for players to find the hidden extracts, new quests, and new items. But really stupid to not list the changes to items and functions in the game already, the ammo changes, and quest changes.

Honestly I don’t find them not listing changes to ammo and that sort of thing fine. At least now they have the in game system where you can see what ammo does what damage and pens what armor. Before that was introduced it was super annoying now it’s a nothing burger.

PvE player here: The location of the Christmas markets + trees for the quests are as follows- Lighthouse, at the convenience store in the center map at the start of long road & near path to shoreline Village Shoreline, in the front section of the west wing at resort Reserve, corner near the helipad in front of white queen. Interchange, the stage where you stash ghezel armor for ragman in front of center mall. Customs, sniper roadblock near smuggler's boat Woods, in lumber mill above lake dock The x-17 is quest locked as it's still not sold by trader, there's also new higher tier quests like gunsmith, old friends request, with a purchase unlock for the new ballistic plate container, which because it can fit in backpacks is suspected of spawning in world. 5x2 container There's also a festive loot container guaranteed spawn on each large map that resembles Santa's sleigh, one is in the back of goshan on interchange, so if you want quest items you should head there, if it's looted then make your way through the middle of the mall towards mantis for a small tree spawn, then through the front for Christmas market. Pickles barter for a new high power scope, but it alone has -10 ergo, and uses a 35mm mount with another -1 ergo penalty. it's very clean and useable so it's unfortunate that it's very harsh penalties, but since its a 5x-35x it's probably unlikely to replace the true 1x LVPOS like the vudu and razor. Last addition, bosses have festive gear! Tagilla has an antler hat version (and a new verion of the saiga 12 called automatic saiga, presumably it's full auto, comes with new mod parts as well) Killa has a gingerbread decorated verion of his 6B armor And i met the goons tbat looked odd, died before i could observe their gear.

M80A1 being added and them changing the way M80 and M62 fall in to the ammo tier list for 7.62 NATO, BSG is going to need to make these ammos obtainable from quests or something sooner and opening up ammo at traders

There's also a new pair of NVG's! Saw a scav walking with ones, they, unfortunately can fit only on the tankers helmet, but they are quite good and provide a lot of visibility at night.

Maybe even multiple quest lines that end with Escaping from Tarkov via many transits. One by heavily guarded boat, Airplane, Abandoned Space Shuttle, old Soviet Submarine, $1M bribe to Peacekeeper that you have to carry outside your secure through 6 transits, etc.

M61 craft was closed for the quest Trophies, which 99% of players did not complete because it requires level 55, quest requires Found in Raid 20 BEAR and 20 USEC dogtags with level 50+. Now this crafting quest no longer gives, so it is useless. But anyway M61 is unpleasable on an automatic MDR or SCAR, the recoil become terrible

Don't care about the new mags but I love that the 7.62 SCAR now have a lower only that we can buy to keep our old ones nice and new often instead of paying 100k every time. I tend to stick with weapons that you can buy only the lower for this reason. Also why I don't touch the others.

Taking 5 pen off m993 is actually very disappointing, that makes a difference at extreme long range. I've seen the bastion diamond age upgraded plate stop m993 while sniping over 500m on multiple occasions. That essentially restricts players to .338 AP for any truly long range sniping for guaranteed headshots.
