one the reasons why vector .45 still no 40~50 rounds magazine is because when they add those 40~50 rounders, the 9x19 vector and other guns will be powercrept by this gun.. unless they fully nerf .45 ammo which i think it might not happen.

@ dropping the damage makes it worse than 9x19 on a damage per mag scale. All the drop does is reduce the effectiveness against C4 helmets and plates. It will still tear right through C3 helmets, soft and plates just fine. All the other .45 have less than 30 pen so they can’t reliably punch through C3

Honestly the only major issue is while the AP ammo is amazing, the gun fucking consumes ammo so god damn fast. 950-ish a round with a gun that's basically a bullet hose gets really rough really fast. However, FMJ in the Vector is honestly just fine and, unless you're in the late late wipe, you don't really need AP. THe flesh damage it does and the massive fire rate will typically still kill people really fuckin' fast. You'll straight up either rip through their armor or literally bludgeon them to death if you can land your shots center of mass. The Vector has been my go-to budget gun this wipe.

The FMJ is totally fine in 1v1 since you can just brute force through most armor with the entire mag. But AP does allow you to take down 2-3 people with one mag.

That's the balance, alongside 30 rounders being max capacity and progression locked. You can get a high rate of fire in a controllable gun with good pen (for what it is), but the high pen ammo is expensive as hell

I don’t use many rounds at all when I run the .45 Vector mainly because I use the burst fire mode. One cleanly placed burst will down scavs, 3-4 will kill most PMCs. That means a 30 round mag can kill 15 scavs or ~7.5-10 PMCs. That’s pretty insane when you think about it. It’s basically a .308 round in terms of damage whilst being relatively good AP. It’s a .45 afterall, it’s a big bullet.

I want to love this gun but every time I bring it into raid I spray a guy with 3 separate mags, get like 20 hits and he's still kicking. And that's with AP. I've started using lower fire rate guns with higher 'up-time' per mag to land headshots with.

@ Oh yeah for sure but 1100 rpm with 30 rounders gives you like 1.6 seconds lmao. I'd rather use an mp7 or m4 that's a little more forgiving, a little more controllable, with a little more range to hit those headshots.

i was always offput by the 30 round mags as well, but as of late I've been running the MP9-N and loving it so only 30 rounds at 1100 isnt actually that bad.. I definitely need to try out the .45 vector

good info - ive been running this with rip ammo, an elcan, and spraying at the face. crazy effective even up to 30-40m. the main benefit ive been finding though, is the ability to one tap AI scavs at decent range. the extra damage makes up for the crazy damage drop off from the smg and the higher head hit points on some scavs. I've only died to a chad with a faceshield once so far, but i expect that will increase as the wipe progresses

The damage drop-off is not that serious. I don't think there is any range at which 45ACP RIP is not going to one-tap unprotected thorax.

buddy of mine with an m4 couldn't countersnipe the sniper scavs on customs, i had to do it with my vector with a simple holo sight on it, took his ego down a few pegs that evening!

How would you even measure it? You'd have to go by unarmored targets but that's not really helpful when everyone runs varying degrees of armor. And even if two armors share the same class it doesn't mean they're equal when you consider durability. Then you have different ammos, and range affects their performance. So measuring TTK just isn't useful when it isn't consistent depending on what armor your target is using, what ammo you're using, and at what distance you're firing from. And even if you land perfect hits from a certain range there's always something like a random ricochet chance or fragmentation through armor that throws it off too.

Love this gun. The fire rate is so insane that shooting pure AP is overkill imo. Stack 1 ap for every 2 or 3 fmj and you get better value from your rounds and more consistent performance through the whole mag.

I've used this gun on Woods for farming Shturman and people genuinely don't expect someone sprinting at them like a rabid hyena. Especially since there's cover around now inside and around Sawmill, spamming nades and forcing pushes puts people on the edge. It's an insanely overlooked gun.

I use it to farm Kaban and Kollontay. Kollontay is a bit tricky but doable (I suck at killing him with all the weapons so if I can semi-reliably kill him with vector, that's something) but Kaban is just a big bad bullet sponge, so throwing 60+dmg rounds at 1100rpm works wonders, as long as you can track of your ammo

They should put AP purchase restrictions to the flea. Otherwise we’ll see another SMG nerf wave, with a whole lot of just decent guns becoming useless bc there are turbosweats who run full AP loadouts raid after raid, nullifying any armor and any common sense. Yes, I still hold a good grudge against Vector players after the previous SMG nerf
