Hi! I really am struggling with the pronunciation of the "unaspirated T" as in "student" or "stop", do you have any recommendations regarding tongue placement or air release to make it sound natural please. Thank you

Hi! I actually aspirate those a bit. I tend to not aspirate at the end of words. This may help. If it doesn't, please message me and I can send a recording. English Pronunciation Tutorial: How to Say the Variations of the America... kzbin.info0PB0HvQ8jJk?si=lGE8881i6F9h_V-r via @KZbin

Some times I raised my eyebrows in Canada and the U.S. when I heard three pronounced as tree. I don't know it that's slang or another accent. 3 trees is tree trees. It is worse in Spanish. 3 13's is pronounced 3 3's from Andalucía to Punta Arenas. Tres treses = three threes = three thirteens. Me confundió un poco jugando al truco en Chile cuando estaba aprendiendo las reglas de ese juego de naipes.

I do hear TREE for THREE. That is so confusing in Spanish!!!

if you are reading a book and see an unfamiliar word. Will you look this word up in the dictionary, how is it pronounced?
@tarlespeech22 күн бұрын
No, I only need to look up words occasionally. Since I am a native speaker, I know spelling rules and how they impact pronunciation.

@@tarlespeech but a lot of words are spelled incorrectly, and there is a chance that you will not read this word the way the British intended. I just can't get used to it - that the rules are being violated
