Originally in the G1 Cartoon before the Introduction to the female cast in that one episode, Homosexual relationships would have been the norm as far as we knew. But even now decades later, the Transformers Franchise and Fandom by default is very LGBTQ inclusive and supportive as well as honestly centered. Given that simply put, silicon based life forms of a robotic nature based upon living machines do not give a frag about limiting concepts and social constructs such as Gender or their roles and are all Asexual by nature and at least half of them are Aromantic being perfectly satisfied with the bonds of friends and Family. Even the latter was only majorly influenced and further evolved through the discovery and interstellar interspecies relations with Earth and Humans and Organic life forms as a whole. There has been specifically in more recent years been talk of romance being further explored in it's own separately dedicated endeavor simply because "If robots can wage war on each other for centuries and even millennia out of hate for each other, why couldn't they also be capable of love?" This was a point most eloquently put that many still stand by in the decision should it ever come true. Especially when it would actually help normalize non heterosexual and non cisgender relationships and approaches to romance that actually expose the truth that while Sex and Sexual attraction is something to be treasured and protected, something as intimate and honestly sacred in our very genetic code should NEVER be projected onto anyone or weaponized or controlled into a method of mass procreation as THAT is what is unnatural and hideous and dangerous. Life is complex at it's very core that way. Therefore the production of it can never be handled or approached in a single manner. Us Queer beings have always existed and we're always meant to just as we shall always remain as the necessary balance to the procreation and birth of new life. There is a thing called overpopulation and oversaturation of the human Genome that our planet has faced for decades now and now face at it's most lethal and cataclysmic in outcome. This is coming from someone who is anything but like Optimus Prime but rather more like Orion Pax and even then I have no interest in being a leader. Just doing my part and fulfilling my purpose in living my life freely as I too believe that Freedom is the right of all sentient beings. And that every being possesses the capacity for change. And that is what my role is. To safeguard such no matter what or where it takes me and ONLY if I get to enjoy my own life in the process. We can't all be as selfless and pure of Spark as a Prime. But we should at least try to do so and with our very Cores.

In this version, Lugnut would have a pretty serious competitor for Megatron's sympathy. I dare say that here Tarn is loyal to Megatron, and not to Decepticon cause. That is, even if his lord for some reason goes over to Autobots or goes into exile, Tarn will follow him purely on principle. This move is typical for other loyalists: Lugnut, Blackout, Skywarp and Soundwave (most of his versions).
