Unrelated thought, but the concept of making Starscream his second-in-command is something I don’t get about Megatron. In a lot of Transformers iterations, in Megatron’s eyes, Starscream is usually that one guy who’s clearly trying to forcefully take over his spot as leader of Decepticons or undermine him. That, or he sees the Seeker as incompetent, based on the amount of times he yells and gets violent at him. So why on earth is he making Starscream his second in command, when this dude clearly isn’t someone he trusts? I feel like if anyone is going to be a second-in-command for the Decepticons, he would pick Soundwave, who is the most loyal to his authority. Maybe I’m being dumb or missing something (it’s been a while since I recently started getting back into Transformers thanks to Transformers One) but young-me was always confused by this, and I’m still confused by this today.

@JustAFewTurtles I think it's because if Starscream were to be demoted, he'd throw a hissy fit and start sabotaging the Decepticon who took his place. Megatron gives Starscream the position of second in command in order to keep his lieutenant's ambitions in check. Starscream is too useful to kill and too powerful to be made into an enemy. At least Megatron is big and scary enough to control Starscream most of the time, and he is also powerful enough to stop Starscream's schemes. But that's just my interpretation.
