Great views all the way and both Codale Tarn & Easedale Tarn made ideal places to stop for a brew. Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Excellent stuff again Eddie and we’re delighted to see a few ads popping up during the clip. Hopefully you’ll be on the receiving end soon and it will be well deserved - not only are your vids enjoyable but we find them very useful as a guide to future walks. The fells truly are an inspiration to us and you manage to capture the beauty and majestic scale of your trips every time. Keep up the great work please! Nick and Liz

Hi Steven, yes it was really misty at the start of the walk in Grasmere but it cleared pretty quickly. I was hoping it was going to linger a bit longer so we would get some views above the mist. A really nice walk with cracking views. Thanks for watching & commenting. Best Wishes from us both.

What a lovely misty morning Eddie, I just love the early morning autumn mist that clears to reveal amazing colours, and some great photography as always. Superb views all the way round. I've been to Easedale Tarn quite a few times but never made it as far as Codale Tarn. Looks like it is well worth a visit. Have to wait until next year now. Thanks for all the great walks and videos, really enjoyed this one. 👍👍👍

Hi Peter, thanks. The misty start made it really atmospheric at the start of the walk but as you have mentioned once it cleared we had superb views all the way. This was another really nice walk. We spent some time at both Codale Tarn & Easedale Tarn, both tarns were really nice. A bit of care was needed in places on the path between Codale Tarn & Easedale Tarn, but nothing too bad. Definitely a walk we will be doing again. Thanks again for watching & for the positive comments, it is always appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes from us both.

Hi Matt, thanks. It must have been great been up there for work. Not a bad view for work!! It is a really good route with fantastic views, we had a great day. It was a great feeling ( and a bit emotional, I have to admit!) completing the Wainwrights on Clough Head a few weeks after completing this Tarn Crag walk. I have been working on the videos of our last few Wainwrights over the past couple of weeks. Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes from us both.

@@eddiecaisley5746Yes it was a great week with work. We also did Sour Howes/Sallows and the Ild Man Coniston/Dow Crag loop. I’m hoping to do a few more Wainwrights in March. Get a few days in and hopefully 10-12 Wainwrights. I can imagine it was a bit emotional. An incredible achievement! You must be very proud! Hopefully we’ll get our walk in next year at somepoint if you’re still up for it. Take care, Matt

Hi Guys, absolutely brilliant and I can concur that this is a wonderful route. We did the exact same but in reverse in pretty similar conditions. The view from Tarn Crags summit is one of the best there is I think. I’m out with Mr Ostle on Saturday, unfortunately I don’t think the weather is going to be quite as nice as this. All the best Dave 😃⛰🥾

Nicely filmed Eddie you always seem to get cracking weather in your vlogs. I never realised the summit of Tarn Crag was where you were stood in the drone footage I always thought the summit was the cairn with the view looking down onto Easedale Tarn, might have to redo that one. 🤔 Atb Karl 👍

Hi Karl, thanks. This was day three of a three day trip we had in the Lakes. We spent the previous two days in Eskdale. We hit on really lucky with the weather, as all three days were good. This was a really good walk we both enjoyed. The summit of Tarn Crag can be a bit confusing. I had to do a bit of research using Wainwrights book on the Central Fells. Wainwight describes the cairn you mentioned as the viewpoint for Easedale Tarn and separate from the actual summit. I must admit, it probably has the better views and is near enough to the summit. Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes from us both.

Really enjoyed this Eddie, one of our favourite areas in the Lake District. Never been to Tarn Crag but have been to most of the other bits - Easedale Tarn looked magnificent from the drone view above and the views everywhere were just spectacular - makes me want to go back!! The name of the bridge you crossed had me thinking, and then it came to me - New Bridge - very original name!! You must be enjoying staying overnight and using the hotels as a base - and there's no point in mentioning the weather!! Regards, Ashley

Hi Ashley, thanks. This was the third day of a three day trip we had in the Lakes and really enjoyed staying there. We spent the previous two days in Eskdale. The walk up to Tarn Crag was really good and we spent a bit of time at the two tarns. It is always nice sitting by a tarn and having a brew, especially in good weather!! Nearly time for your big trip, it will be fantastic! Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Best Wishes to you & Andrea from us both.

A great video with stunning aerial shots of both tarns. A very interesting walk you did combined with great drone footage. It gives a great perpective of alot of the fells i have walked. Does it take long to prepare the drone? I have never used one but the video quality is excellent. Many thanks for the video.

Hi Geoff, thanks for the positive feedback, it is really appreciated. This was a really good walk and once the early mist cleared we had great views all the way. I am slowly getting used to the drone. It only takes a couple of minutes to set up. I have the drone in a small case with the controller and spare batteries and fits easily into my back pack. I am still on a learning curve with the drone, but it certainly does give a different perspective. Thanks again for watching & for the comments. Take care & Best Wishes from us both.
