That definitely sucks about the ear for sure - I would imagine the company probably gets a lot of complaints and surprised they haven't adjusted their packing materials yet

Every Coral Reef doll I've seen a box opening for has had damage. Which is unfortunate.

I wonder if that headcap magnet is for a magnetic wig? I know those are not very common but maybe? Did you contact Coral Reef about the ear? It seems like it must've broken before they packed the doll, so not a shipping accident. I'd hope they'd be willing to replace the head.

I thought about the wig thing too, so its a possibility. I got Amber through a dealer. I emailed them, so we will have to wait and see.

Oh that ear break hurts me deeply! I have an Amber and Opal coming in so I hope we don't have the same problem. Who did you order through? You would think they would check before it gets sent out!

Did they ever replace the head since the ear arrived damaged? 😶 Worried since I got a couple elf heads on layaway

Yes, but it was a used head they found somewhere with a partial practice faceup. They said they were not going to cast anything in red resin. It was not the same red resin as my doll and the head did not have a headcap.

She has a new...used head that they sent. No headcap and the resin doesn't exactly match. :( But, at least they sent a replacement?

considering how much these cost, the broken ear is ridiculous. Did you get a replacement from the company?

Yes, but I got an old used head that was used for faceup practice and did not come with a headcap. They refused to cast a new head. :(
