Always a great option when the salmon are keying in baby cormorants lol. 😂. I’ve actually tried it believe it not. Just because I don’t think anyone has ever tried. Still zero on it. Would’ve been so sick if it actually worked tho. I’ll keep trying. There might be one miracle day that impossible becomes possible 🤷🏼♂️. Maybe I’ll try a glow jitterbug at night next. Haven’t tried that yet.

So bizarre. I wish I had the footage but Robbie the guy at the end actually hooked the glued scatter rap and a fish was on it. But it got off half way back to the boat. And if you see the part in the vid where we actually hook the line or rod on the same day with the fish on and the it comes off. So weird. We had the same rod twice.
@Ianpayne834 жыл бұрын
Great video! 3:54 is where it all went wrong for the prop wash down rod. 🤦♂️😂 we were just asking for a salmon to take the rod at that point lol

I just came across this video when searching cabelas walleye runner……. We also see that everyone uses the j13 for chinook but was looking into the cabelas walleye runner as a cheaper alternative to the Reef Runner 800 series as we slay the chinook on the Reef Runner 800 in firetiger, perch or anything orange/yellow. However you need to upgrade hooks as they bend. Trolling 35-45’ of water
@TaroMurata3 жыл бұрын
Yup… you need to change the hooks 💯… the chinook tear them up. But they love the walleye runner.

@brandonmori-bergeron13124 жыл бұрын
@@TaroMurata besides the j-13 orange , scatter rap where do u get crazy colours walleye runner? And also what colour scatter rap would be good for salmon?
@TaroMurata4 жыл бұрын
Fire tiger scatter rap was best on this day. But I’ve also done well on purple. And even natural colours like rainbow trout scatter rap in the middle of the day in clear water. I got my crazy coloured walleye runners at bass pro shops at the store in Vaughn Mills. But remember to change the hooks. The first fish I ever had on the they busted right off on the first jump. Great bait but the hooks are low grade and can’t handle a salmon.
