Surprisingly my go to "comfort" deck is the Halloween tarot. It seems weirdly specific but it's so intuitive to me. I think that picking a deck is a very subjective thing - I've always felt connected to autumn/Halloween.

I’m a tarot reader and I find it really difficult to read for myself because I know what I want it to say and I feel like I just put my energy into the cards and it comes out with how I’m feeling If I need a proper read I do not do it myself, I do pull small spreads for,shelf often but when I really need guidance and help I go to other readers

Honestly, I love your attitude to this and tbh it's this kind of thing a lot of people need to hear, tarot or not. I also really love your shuffling style. Even if it's not seen as the correct way, when I saw it, I felt like it was actually probably a way better method than what I did before which was shuffling and layout the cards that were at the top in numerical order. I feel like your way was more in tune with the cards so I started trying to get into it and stop trying to control the cards too much. It's much freeing when a card flies out and you're like "yeah so this clearly wants to be next yo" allowing the cards to just show themselves to you. Tbh I'm imagining the ghost haunting me hitting my hand a little or flicking my cards a bit so the right one comes out. It might be why all my readings have gone in my favour. Thanks, ghost.

So, I got into reading tarot and oracle almost a decade ago, but I never had the confidence to try reading mostly by intuition. I'd do a reading with a specific spread, then use exclusively the book to do the reading. Back in March, I found your channel, and watching you was like, "Oh, I don't have to use a specific spread? I don't have to use the exact given readings?" Intellectually, I knew that, but it was hard putting it into practice until I watched someone else do it. This was SO HELPFUL! I got interested in tarot from finding you. You randomly appeared on my feed and I had NEVER watched, looked up, talked about tarot - nothing. The reading was called ‘What you need to hear right now’ or something to that affect… I figured eh why not… it WAS what I needed to hear… and every reading I have watched since then was spot on! OMG, I can't believe it, but this video is like the most accurate thing ever since I started to use tarot in 2018. I might use tarot for 3 years, but I'm still a noob (because I use tarot not so often, and I only do self-reading :P) and I agree with everything you said here because that's also how I (and my bestie) use tarot, and that's the kind of reason why I and my friend are not so involved with the tarot community in our place. Like we always said that there's no right or wrong in reading tarot, it depends on how we feel, how we connect and understand our deck, and how we should let the intuition guide us in the reading. I’ve been reading tarot for a couple of years now and I watched this video because honestly I just winged it when I started, lol. I felt my ancestors and my guides sort of just stepped in to help me learn. Of course since then I have done a ton of reading and looking up meanings, etc.. because there are some days the cards are so clear and others I will look at a card I’ve pulled 100 times and I’ll be confused as hell. I was happy to see that everything you’ve spoken about I’ve also done mostly intuitively. I too at first tried to read reversals and was like ugh no this is too much. So, what actually happened, the more I read cards I would have them all shuffled upright but it was almost as though my guides were like okay, you’re ready and the card would jump out of the deck reversed. I’d say out loud hey I’m not ready for that and try again and once again it would be reversed so eventually I was like okay I get it and I’d look up the meaning of it reversed. Like you said the more comfortable you get and trust your intuition everything unfolds organically. You’ll also start to notice different parts of the cards in the imagery when you’re reading. Certain things that never really stood out before all of a sudden you really hone in on. Tarot really is a beautiful thing. My stubborn self fought the process every step of the way. 😂 I’d say I’m not reading tarot, then i did. I wouldn’t read oracle, then I did. I wouldn’t do charm casting, then I did. It’s a journey for sure.

Thanks for the video; many great tipa! I got into tarot exactly one zear ago. I like your energy. Oh and one other thing. I like to cleanse my decks by holding them in my left hand and tapping them with the right. I let the energy flow through my arms, into my water chakra and out the right arm. A bit like uncle iroh taught zuko how to redirect lightning in the last Airbender. It feels natural to me ( I am a scorpio moon)

This is a great video, and I love that you mention in so many ways that it's very individual. For me, sometimes it's even different depending on the deck! My rider waite deck likes riffle shuffling and intentional spreads and is clearer with it's messages in that way, while other tarot decks and oracle decks I have prefer the overhand/let me yeet a card at you method. I've been working on reading more intuitively and buying decks that speak to me on that intuitive level. Thank you for the book recommendation though, because while I usually use the keywords from the rider waite booklet and use my intuition based on which words "stick out" to me (sometimes its all of them, sometimes its only one or two), I feel like it would be helpful to have a little more "rounded" knowledge of the cards based on the topic to understand those cards on a deeper level.
