The Universal Waite is by far my favorite. I love the colors much better than the original. They are much softer on the eyes and I find myself looking at them longer in a reading using my intuition more and feeling more calmer. I have the opposite reaction to the Radiant version. Llewellyn's take on the Rider-Waite is also cool. I love how the scenes are close up, but still very true to the original Rider-Waite that is so easy to use. The color scheme is also very easy on the eyes. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Kate. I also have the Rider Waite Tarot, Shadowscapes Tarot, Crowley's Thoth and a Crystal Visions Tarot, i have also a few more decks, but i really enjoy working with Crystal Visions and Shadowscapes and Rider Waite - my personal and favorite deck of all the time. As i said i really enjoy working with those three decks because they are very beautiful andthe readings with these decks are very accuarte for me and my clients. :)

Rok Matjacic my personal deck is the Shadowscapes lol. It's so dead on accurate for me it is scary. I haven't used it on others because it feels like it has my energy so entwined that they may not get their own reading. I don't know. The decks I read for clients I don't read on myself. I really like the Osho Zen Tarot for its simplicity and spiritual presentation. I plan on buying that deck soon. I also liked the Druid Craft deck as well. All of the decks were quite beautiful though. Thanks for showing them to us.

I myself love the Crowley Thoth deck & recently won a bid for the Hong Kong 1960's White Box A or B version with the all gold lettering & inner box. Very beautiful deck, I must say the Thoth is the most advance & complicated deck out. I started with the Thoth & did quite well with it making every other deck very simple & easy to work with.

I have the angel tarot cards by Doreen Virtue. They are amazing! I love The pictures and the descriptions of the cards. It's so good for beginners just like me. It was quite difficult understanding tarot cards but once you read the little book they give you with the cards it will start making sense.I do have the agree that they are thick so It's fairly hard to shuffle the deck if you have small hands.

Love the video - I am going to order the first deck you showed - Druidcraft - I have seen the box but never saw the cards. My "personal deck" is the Rohrig - and it has oversized cards too. Once the cards are on the cloth for the reading - they are what they are. I do not use reversals - ok, well, sometimes I do. To do that - the easiest way is to spread the cards (face down) on the table - and swirl them around and back into a pile - then shuffle as usual. I am odd in that I get my clients to tap the deck three times with their left hand and cut the cards into three piles - but then. I can use up to 20 decks for a reading - like I said - I am odd! Good luck - just do what feels ok

But Wildwood will always be my deck of choice. It figured in my life too much. Lovely video. Out of these decks I like New Palladini and Universal Waite best -- the colors in the latter made me appreciate the illustrations for the first time. Aquarian is essentially a cruder version of New Palladini -- not bad, but NP is much better. Have you seen Mary-El? My favorite art deck by a mile. Also love Touchstone, Deviant Moon, Victorian Romantic. And I keep going back to Morgan Greer; wish I could find a contemporary equivalent. Thanks, I'll have to watch more of your vids!

We have a similar collection! Except I had and quickly passed on the Wildwood; I prefer the DruidCraft, too. You mentioned how cumbersome the D. Virtue Angel Tarot is. From what I could tell on the video, you have the older version. Yes, despite how recent it is, there is a newer edition with thinner cardstock and gilt edging (like most of her oracle decks have). It is about $3 more, but really worth it if the thicker cards bother you. And the shiny silver edges are nice. :)

Just heard that you must be careful you don't take the cards too literally and think something bad is going to happen to you. As long as you're aware of the abstract nature of the cards and use them more for advice than predictions. I think 13 may be old enough, but younger than teens haven't developed abstract thinking yet. Wishing you the best in your tarot journey.

I would go for a Doreen Virtue deck, they are very gentle and give you lots to meditate on. I started reading in my young teens too.

Well I collect and read and have a 14 year old daughter. I don't want her using them at this age. I might get slaughtered for this. But teenage girls already attract physic activity due to going thru puberty. Example lots of poltergeist activity happens in homes with adolescent girls. It's important to protect yourself your reading space and the area you store your cards. Honesty I think getting a book and learning the card meanings now is a good idea. But if you were my daughter I'd caution you to wait till 22 years old. But in the meantime you can study read up on them and save up money for your future collection. Of course it's your choice. I'm saying this mainly because I don't want you to be frightened away from them. When we are young we may confuse a spirit guide for an entity that isn't so nice. To me tarot cards aren't as sketchy as quijja boards but it's still a form of divination. If someone else doesn't agree this is just my personal opinion from collecting and reading and doing minor spell work

Thank you for making this video. I'm just starting out so this was really helpful... I think if I could pick ANY deck, I would pick the Universal Rider Waite deck...because, aside from liking the pictures, it seems like a good beginner deck... Then eventually, as I get to know the cards better, get the Crystal Visions Tarot deck. They are such beautiful cards! I got my 1st deck about 2 weeks ago but all the minor arcana cards don't have pictures... Like, the 9 of cups for example, have 9 cups on it and that's it. I really should've held out and got another deck... I feel like I would learn a lot better and faster... It's really easy to feel or get over whelmed bc its just SO much to remember....but I'm hanging in there! :-) I know what to look for and what to get next time.

The crowley deck in the large deck can be intimidating,but the large seem to draw me in to it.however I always seemed to have a little negativity vib from it but the more you use it the better i like it.Druid deck is my personal favorite. Specifically, the "Universal-Waite Tarot, (which was recolored by Mary Hanson-Roberts, by the way), the "Hanson-Roberts Tarot Deck," by Mary Hanson-Roberts, "Angel Tarot Cards," by Doreen Virtue, and Radleigh Valentine, "Osho Zen Tarot," by Osho and Ma Deva Padma, "The New Palladini Tarot," by David Palladini, THE "Robin Wood Tarot," by Robin Wood, and the GORGEOUS "Crystal Visions Tarot," by Jennifer Galasso. Now, regarding the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck, the version I have is one that I believe is no longer in print. It is what I refer to as the "medium-sized" version, as when the Deck was first published, there were three sizes, a standard-sized, printed on white-stock, a jumbo-sized printed on whitestock, and a "medium-sized" published on greenstock. Indeed, my copy depicts colors in a muted quality. Perhaps there is a better term than muted, but cannot think of it, offhand. Also, there was a time when the Crowley-Thoth Tarot Deck was not in print, but it has been back in print for a few years now. Your video has Divinely Inspired me, and I feel led to make a livestream video on my own KZbin Channel featuring my own favorite Tarot Decks. Hello Kate ! Thanks for the the review. I just have a question. I have the DruidCraft and the Wildwood, and when comparing both I notice that the DruidCraft pictures has a lower resolution. Is it yours the same? I recently bought it and it came in a small box version. The cards size is the same though. Thanks

Hi Gamal - my Druidcraft deck has a good resolution and it doesn't appear to be any different than my wildwood deck. You might have a more recent publication of the deck.

hi, loved your video. i own the angel tarot by doreen virtue. the housewives tarot. i ordered the osho zen tarot, its on his way and cant wait to have it. i also own a few of doreen's oracle cards, healing with the fairies and angel therapy. i also own 2 of colette baron reid, wisdom of avalon and wisdom of the hidden realms(i realy love that one), one oracle deck from sonia choquette ask your guide.. and i also own the kitchen tarot.i didnt find the RIGHT deck that resonate with me yet.

I have the barbra walker deck, I used it for many years and to learn with. But now I am missing five cards :( I will always love this deck, I also have the Thot deck but I never use it.

I've been wanting to get the Intuitive Tarot and the Osho Zen Tarot seems appealing, as well. If there are specific Tarot Spreads for that dive deeper into one's psyche and insight into their lives, why not get a few decks to amply the readings? That's how I feel about Tarot anyway.
