I know this is an old video but I’ve just watched it a few times in the past couple of weeks and I find your explanation of the suits, the minors, and the majors to be the simplest explanations. I don’t understand why other channels try to make this seem so complicated. I hope you have a class one day I would love to join!

Yes, very much I can see the seasons changing depending on where someone is from! I can also see reasons other people pick other associations, it's not something that highly impacts my reading but I do find it interesting to mull over!

@47:44 I don’t like children in most of my oracle or tarot decks either 😂😅🤣 … on a more serious note though, I think it’s a problem on the sun card because it eludes that one must have a child who would then make one happy and not everyone has that fortune, also the sun can be too hot so indirectly there could be a sense of “too hot for comfort”. Similar to the empress card, representing fertility through her being pregnant, many women and “female” identifying individuals including non-binary genders are not able to get pregnant due to a number of reasons - and not only that but women are more than just “baby making machines”. Just thought I’d bring that up to help you along 😉

I also see suits and seasons like you. Sometimes I can see cups as autumn, and coins as spring...depends on the deck. Fits also :) It's raining here heaps in autumn too, and things grow in spring...but personally I tend to see it like you. If the deck shows a specific season on the picture though, I'll go with the pic. For example Wands in Maat tarot are covered with snow! I struggle but then think- Im a Sag, Im born in winter but Im full on fire...As you said- as many systems as tarot readers. :) A great undertaking! You are amazing!

Excellent job indeed !! I share your vision of the tarot 100%. First I used only Major Arcanas of the Marseille and then I discovered the Minor with the R-W-S and now I'm going back to the whole Marseille but... I wonder how to come back to the Pips free of their Rider interpretation ! Do you happen to have a video on that subject ? I believe some have the same meaning like the 7 of swords wich is about imagination and illusion... I am deeply interrogative on that matter. By the way, I'm a french guy. I do those research in english like it wasn't hard enough ^^

Really in the marsaille, there isn't any suggestion of an elemental association in the illustrations.

I will have to sit with the #8 and #11 -- I see your point of view clearly. I relate #11 with #2 so on and so forth. For example, Let us take #4 THE EMPEROR which is Construction & Stability - going to #13 DEATH Destruction & Disability -- going to #22 THE FOOL which is Formation & Instability. To me the Innocence of Fool to Experience of the Emperor to Acceptance of Death has a certain appeal. Also with #6 THE LOVERS which is Good Choice (Heart) to #15 THE DEVIL which is Bad Choice (Mind) that shapes our lives have a strong relationship with numerology number 6 standing for Harmony. So on and so forth but it is nice to see where you are coming from and how our view points differ but generally speaking more or less on the same page.

I agree that you can make a case for different numerological view points, which makes it really a fascinating subject and certainly one that deserves a good thinking on to sort out how we view it! But I agree, we generally land on the same page or close by :D

I lately read something also very interesting: 1 + 2 = 3, if one and two come together and meld, they create something new. But, if they do not meld, just stand beside each other, you get 12, which is the hanged man, who also stands for stagnation and long periods of waiting. Fascinating.

And the tower being a 6, well, it is a 16, which is a 7, and there you have the disruption that leads to new growth. That is also the case with death. 13 being 4, which death can be read as total stagnation of life, a 4 on the next level. ☺

if the suit & elements switch for certain decks (e.g. swords & wands swopped), when using those decks for readings, would you read them as traditionally (i.e swords = air) or as what the deck illustrates (i.e. swords = fire)?

Good question, I have to say that the decks I read with are all workable in the way that I see the suits so it's not an issue, there is one deck I like to read that swaps them, it uses the Picard minors, but I just read them the way I normally do :D
