Good to see you using the gunyah shelter mate. You did well fitting all 3 of you under it. And it was nice to see the dog out on a trip with ya. It’s a shame we can’t take dogs many places. I’d love to take banjo out on more trips. Hipcamp property’s are a good idea for a doggo camp. I’ll keep that in mind
@Lukeslittletribe Жыл бұрын
Thanks Scotty. The Gunyah shelter seemed to be the best configuration to fit all of us in there. Yeah Hipcamp can be good, I guess you wanna find one that actually feels a bit wild. I know each to their own, but I'm not a huge fan of a farm camp type place. This was perfect as it was just a big 200 acre bush block backing onto national park .. and I loved taking the dog out.

I have 21yr old twins (boy and girl). I absolutely loved taking them on adventures, wether it was hunting, fishing or just road trips. Can't imagine trying to film while keeping them entertain. My daughter and I still go on a yearly spring break adventure. Very nice my friend! Thanks for sharing 🤠
@Lukeslittletribe Жыл бұрын
Great to hear you enjoyed the time when they were kids. Yeah it can get really exhausting trying to film the adventures at time! I'm almost inclined to do a few camps a year where I don't film. Also how wonderful you still do a yearly trip with your daughter! I am hope I'm that lucky with my own kids when they grow up.

I like to hike and fish in the high alpine. No trees. But tarp camping works anywhere and its so flexible. No tent. Doggo is in heaven!
@Lukeslittletribe Жыл бұрын
That's it mate, the high country is fast becoming my favorite place to camp. And love a good trout fish up that way. Yeah bodhi dog had a blast. Thanks for watching

Thanks for posting this! It's very much like Utah and much of the Southwest US, minus the roos. There are huge swaths of public lands where you can wander to your hearts desire and never see another soul. For Mountain fishing, you can do no better than the Wind River Wilderness and the endless high alpine lakes full of ravenous fat golden trout and other species. Not many folks can hack the journey. But the payoff! You know the feeling mate!

@@dherman0001 Mate that sounds bloody beautiful out that way. I haven't seen much of the US but I hear the landscape is pretty incredible. I love all the old tales of cattlemen and explorers though from the early days of the U.S

@@Lukeslittletribe Haha nice one mate. It's great that your daughter is comfortable doing exposed camping with you as well. Most people nowadays are very scared to do anything like this. Excellent skill to have to improve your comfort in the natural world.

@@RyanWorsman haha she doesn't know any better. Basically told her there are no insects cause it's too cold .. come night time there were heaps of ants and milipedes around. But she didn't need to know 🤣 Tarp camping is her favourite type of camping now.

Yeah I reall should check it out more. Growing up I always headed straight for hiking in the grampians and over looked mt arapiles. I'd love to do more walks out that way though like little desert national park, or murry sunset national park.

Thanks heaps for subscribing and watching. I appreciate that. It's funny how a land far away can sometimes seem really intriguing though. I've always been interested in some of the big landscapes of the U.S, especially places like alaska from reading Jack London.

Looked awesome mate. Didn't realize it was so close to Grampians.
@Lukeslittletribe Жыл бұрын
Still a full 2 hour drive away from the grampians though hey. Just cause the grampians are so big and the land so flat, you can see them from ages away. The big mountain you see in the video is mount Arapiles.

How much does steak cost there at the supermarket? Here it's from 7$ a pound to $20 for Ribeyes and T bones, just depending on the grade. People in the country will go 50/50 with a neighbor or relative on a cow to butcher and put it in the freezer, saves about half or more cost.
@Lukeslittletribe Жыл бұрын
Depends what kind of steak you get. These two were about $12 Australian, so that might be like $8 USD ... but they sure weren't no Ribeye haha. Aussies really love their steak and it's pretty available. But like most things, prices are going up.
