I'm sorry but it is SO ignorant that she is not famous by now.... She is ridiculously good.
@neetrab9 жыл бұрын
HeavenlySin I think it's because of her weight.. Some of it is that..not entirely. Plus, I heard she's pretty hard to work with, and no executive is looking to work with you if you are hard to work with, no matter how great you are... Also some (if not all) executives aren't looking for a copycat of what has already been done... in other words.. we already had a Whitney. They want a more original voice. I think that's pretty much what they think.

HeavenlySin HeavenlySin, how much famous does she need? She has been famous and known for years. Like millions, everyone wants to be Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston status and will not get it. The BEST thing in life is contentment. Striving just to strive is not always a good things!

+Kathy Wheeler I disagree with your comment and his! It is not like God does not know about her effort. He opens and closes doors. Like any good parent, which you might be, he sometimes says child "you do not want to go down that road!" Not wanting to hear that, we do not understand and much like a young child often leave kicking, screaming and feeling disappointed. I could tell you countless stories of my great disappointments with God in the areas of achievements. Having graduated twice "Summa Cum Laude" from two colleges, nothing seemed to make sense in my life. Years passed before I understood why God blocked me from climbing the ladder on various jobs.

See.... this is someone that deserves to be the top of Hollywood hands down. No one in the world can sing like Whitney or ever have Whitneys specific gift but this girl in my opinion is the closest! She's absolutely amazing and clearly doesn't need to lip sing or use auto tune I won't name names but just look at the artists today. All they do is use auto tune or lip sync. Or run the enough and are all ego maniacs and don't deserve any fucking credit that shit pisses me off

It's really upsetting to see talents like Tarralyn Ramsey & Sasha Allen, even artists like Jazmine Sullivan, experience only moderate success or are totally overlooked while their contemporaries like Adele thrive with multiple Grammy wins, etc. I'm not taking anything away from Adele; she's extremely talented & deserving of the accolades, but in that same breath, there have been a number of extremely talented (primarly black) vocalists that don't get the same exposure from the industry. "The machine" selectively pushes which artists it wants because Tarralyn's gift has long been deserving of every award the industry has to offer

Tarralyn oversinging it's a shame because she has a great gift. After born to diva, X factor and the voice she has not reached where she is trying to go... She oversings.and while singing Whitney songs you don't need to be doing all that extra. Whitney jus sang. ..She doesn't kno if she wants to do gospel or r n b she should seek Christ and let him guide her not her flesh

joshua morgan, Yes, I believe GOD is protecting her soul. She doesn't need to be famous like Whitney. She should "Count it All Joy"!

performance presence and talent can never be interchangeable. singing is way more than just standing behind a mike and belting out notes. either you engage the audience or you fail to capture the performance. this bored me with her seizure-like note hitting motions. when whitney sang, i felt like she was singing directly to me...not singing for herself.

tarralyn's problem is her interpretive skills. She's too much, too soon and from start to finish. That works in Gospel...but she's not singing Gospel and most of her audience can't relate to her. Simply put she needs coaching

You are absolutely right. She needs coaching. It's a travesty a great voice she has is going to waste. But now I understand more & more why Whitney was a Great singer. It's one thing to have a great Voice, but another thing to know how to use it. The "using it" part is were Tarralyn suffers the most. This is why I believe Tarralyn Ramsey isn't a household name.
@bertram1620036 жыл бұрын
Absolutely right.. always have said this about her.. her voice is amazing.. she just doesn't understand how to make the acrobatics seem special because she gives it all from jump
@marcchesley37316 жыл бұрын
She uses to many runs and scales in the beginning by the time she gets to the hiatus of the song, she has to out do what she has done in the beginning of the song and she winds up with these barrage of scales and riffs until she is out of sync and key with the music. She gives too much too soon. Less is more every other note. She kind of over pushes her vibrato and that makes the notes beautiful. She has a strong voice which is great but she will burn her voice out with paralysis in a concert which will force her to sing at a lower key until she takes a break or drink water. I'm not tearing her down I love to hear her sing. But she lose her ear for the melody of the music and over powers it. She has to learn to be diverse and take some of the choir, or gospel keep a little just a little to emphasize note. But sing the note straight out. I'm saying what I see could be the problem why she is not the next big star. Save the belting for the hiatus and give me some soft and pretty, natural, head and chest. Not just one thing all the time. Whitney had an ear she knew when to harmonize with the music, when to harmonize but be louder than her background. Maybe singing loud and forceful keeps Tarralynn in control of her nerves when on stage.

weight is not the problem. Look at Kelly Price. She sings just as great as Whitney Houston but her presentation is not as engaging. +Elaine Strong Notice I said that's not the ONLY reason I think she hasn't blown up to where she wants to be in the music industry. If u look at her "I wanna love u forever" video, she even states that she's gotten turned down partly because of her weight. And I don't really know what you mean by her presentation not being as engaging, I'm not really sure what you mean. Do you mean because she's not as pretty? I don't know if that's the case if that's what you'res saying. What do you mean "coached properly"? She knows how to use her voice.. she knows how to use the stage... she knows how to engage the audience..and she knows what to do with her hands when on the stage.. She's very good. So, again, not sure what u mean when u say she needs to be "coached properly". She's coached fine, imo.
