This mayor was elected BECAUSE of the cronyism going on. They’d been scratching each others backs for a dozen years, and there were quite a few townspeople who were sick of it. But he really ran up against a brick wall. It wasn’t racial at first, believe it or not. It was a long-standing police chief, city supervisor, and most of the city council. The worst part, though, is a bunch of people who got him to run, got him elected, have now washed their hands of the whole thing. Because the old cronies have just spread rumor after lie about him. And while he doesn’t have a great past, he was never dishonest. I like the way he stands up to these lying old crooks, myself. I wish him luck.

Well, both parties are speaking out of their butts. It sounds like the reality on all sides are skewed. I'm going to do research on the judgments and court decisions. They are definitely not following the rules of order. I'd be curious to review their previous meetings minutes. This is fascinating, yet is making my PTSD that I experienced in Board meetings, flare up. Childish behaviors from people who were elected to work in the greater good of their citizens. This is more about personal issues and tattletelling. Ridiculous!
