Yesss! True! In my opinion they should play tarraxa in the kizomba room and tarraxo in the urbankiz room. But some Dj are afraid to put tarraxa music in the kizomba room, to not be criticised by people for playing more "electronic music" , or because they don't know well witch music they could play (some dj they not even know the difference between.... I am not talking about real good djs... 🙈)

Nice post... Well, here from Montreal... We all dance on dances we know, little people actually know how to dance Tarraxinha... thus DJs will play music people know how to dance on. Thus... Been at D'Maes, Trarraxinha was playing and you know what, we were actually dancing Tarraxinha... Here in Montreal, people dance Urban Kiz on Tarraxinha (why not). As instructors, we also have a duty to teach all the dances under the Kiz umbrella... The word is out peeps.. Let's teach Tarraxinha so DJs will pump in this music and make Iron Mams (And myself) happy as Tarraxinha is probably my favorite dance. And DJ Znobia... Xéeee!!!

Interesting thing, I remember those parties too. I guess there are a couple of things happening here. The kizomba scene has had to fight so much to distinguish themselves from the "urbanization" that now people make a point to stay in the "non-urban" side of things. But of course there is no such thing as "urban" music, they just use anything that works for them - first it was more in the tarraxa side, then went harder towards zouk-bass, lately they seem to be moving towards azonto? So I bet that after some time, "urban" will be far enough from kizomba that tarraxa will be able to come back to kizomba parties without triggering the "oh no, not urban again" feeling ;).

There is no urban kiz music!!! There is only urban kiz dance!!! What people do is to dance to ghetto zouk or remixes of other genres with the urban kiz style of dance!!! Ps i love dj znobia too and miss hearing more on parties!!!

I feel misled by the title of your video; this is not about tarraxa vs tarraxhina vs tarraxo which apparently from what I just heard/saw at a social in Texas are all diff't things now. I had a WTF moment! Anything to make a $buck$, it's not like people here in the US would know any better. I myself do miss some of the music you played which I remember hearing a few years ago when kizomba hit "states side" hard. Now I shudder at what they promote as kizomba. I do appreciate and agree with your thoughts.
