And also because of their proximity to Sylvania, as the residents are quite grim and zealous and probably stir some suspicion in less tense counties. Actually it's probably mostly the latter lol.

Say what you want about the Dawi, but the one thing I always admire is the stout bastards generally won't run until you kill just about every single one of them in a unit. And the ones that do run...well you'll be seeing them again with a mohawk, no armor, and being damn sure they ain't gonna be the ones running away again. I can respect them having little patience for cowardliness. Also they got some sick ass mods...rune golems and shit is fun.

For my first campaign in Warhammer Total War , played dwarves untill I conquered the world. I didn't realise I was supposed to have fun, so I made full artillery and guns, got completely burned out on the game. Never played it again. Then when 2 came out, I did the same thing with shadow elves. I didn't realize Alith Alarn had a main quest, until I switched to Bretonnians and saw such a mechanism exists. Then I realised that the missions were rigged and got bored. I haven't touched Warhammer Total War 3, I just know it in my soul that it sucks, but this video made me nostalgic. I might go back to Warhammer 1 to see if the Imperials are interesting.
