Tarzan being animated in France is actually kinda fitting since in the books Tarzan learned to speak French before he learned to speak English

Yes. Tarzan met a French explorer named Paul D'Arnot.

I honestly miss 2D animation, I do love all the new live action stuff but this sort of stuff takes me back to my childhood x

A beautiful mix of 2D and 3D mixed seamlessly! And with technology always growing, people nowadays could probably do this at home on PC with the right programs and enough patience! So what’s Disney’s excuse for becoming so lazy?!

It is pretty easy to do stuff like this at home now. There’s a lot of tutorials on texture painting 3d models in blender for example which is a free program. If ur interested there’s a dude named craft reaper who does really cool tutorials on the subject. I don’t think Disney has gotten lazy for not implementing this more tho. 2d media is just not as marketable as it used to be on the big screen. At least to the western audience. Keep in mind this movie came out after Toy Story. Disney was already starting to pivot to 3d 4 years before Tarzan even came out.

@@kingmanga8575 But this style is so beautiful! 3D is cool, but this feels so much more… Disney!

@@clampfan101 don’t get me wrong I prefer 2d over 3d except for standout 3d productions like spiderverse or arcane. My point is just that the general audience prefers 3d nowadays. Plus it’s a lot easier to change certain things in 3d as opposed to 2d. For example changing the lighting in a 3d scene could take a few minutes. But changing the lighting on a 2d scene would require u to redraw every frame to a certain extent which could take days or weeks. Overall it’s just smarter for companies to make 3d films.

I don't know. In this day and age, it's pretty easy to distinguish the 2D from the 3D, and Disney hasn't gotten lazy; it's just that 2D animation takes time, and time is money.

What softwares they used for Tarzan
@LauraVanessaEscobarSalazar7 ай бұрын
For Tarzan I imagine Disney used deep canvas, which is the one they showed here and CAPS which is the main software they worked all their films with after the fox and the hound until 2007, if they used other softwares than these two I wouldn’t know

Are deep canvas and CAPS available to the general public?
