Raiden Fighters is an arcade shmup/STG released in 1996 by Seibu Kaihatsu, taking a spin on the very popular Raiden series from the early 90's. It is a more bullet heavy game and focuses more on extreme precision in its scoring systems rather than rote memorisation.
PearlASE ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/P... ) uses the Slave ship (Judge Spear variant) to abuse the graze chaining mechanics to their fullest, while uncovering all worthwhile secrets in order to reach a total score of 75,319,350 points. For reference, the current unassisted record for this category was set by SOF-WTN in 2015, with a score of 56,192,730 points.

While this is cool, I think this is the kind of game that is more interesting to watch an RTA run. Not taking anything away from this run, though, as clearly a lot of effort was put into it.
