I guess would be faster if you had started at Cyber Space stage, because you can fight all bosses with Ultimate Armor doing an 100% run without repeat stage.

Logically, that would make sense not only because Cyber Space can be fully completed without repetition, but also because that stage also has an armor part, and you only need one to complete the Ultimate Armor. But the speedrunner want to use the Soul Body weapon to kill those yellow, one-eyed spherical enemies because too many of them get in the way, and just trying to dodge them wastes time.

@@smuggums3879 the boss door doesn't trigger until the elevator platform reaches the top. if you're fast enough, you can make it to the boss room and freely run around before that happens, which is what we saw here. the TAS was just showing off, basically

Yea yea buddy next time when you play the game I'd love to see a live stream of you completing this game (100%) with X in sub-40mins. Confirmed wr with X without tool-assist is about 44mins, and thats with practice, tons of it. Your "normal" playthrough won't come anywhere close to that time.
